On the first of July, my first day back in charge, I left the Lincoln role, there was a job I saw that was more appealing plus I feel Lincon will struggle this season...
That's correct, we're heading back to Scotland and this time into League One as we take the reigns of Elgin City who are predicted to finish third in the league, the board expect us to reach the Promotion playoffs, easily done I would of thought.
Good luck with Elgin City and keep going it's really good and interesting High profile players haha Try to get Ricardo Quaresma maybe he can accept an offer.

I mearly had to tell the board what they wanted to hear, course we won't be playing defensive football! Thanks MazzeRunner, nice to see some people are reading.
Just one player that we'll need to get rid of this summer and that is Iraq defender Aidin ElZubaidi, he's a wanted man so should be easy enough to move on. The squad looks okay, we'll look to improve over the next couple of months though.
Nice to start on winning ways on our return to Scotland. Elgin City had no test really in the Challenge Cup First Round. We beat Nairn County three goals to one with Rankin, Wilson and Smith all netting. We've got Brora Rangers in the next round.
However no joy in the League Cup as our run is ended in the first round against fellow league One side Dumbarton, a late penalty securing progression for them.
Another point on the board, not bad when we were two nil down. A goal just before the break and one just before full time saw us come back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2
Through to Round Three of the Challenge Cup but only after a scare when we found ourselves one nil and two one down against Brora Rangers. Rankin took man of the match with a brace. We have Championship side Brechin City in the next round.
Keep up the good work guys! Enjoying keeping up with this thread!
Thanks 'ONIG' nice to see someone else on board.
Appears we don't like doing things easy, coming from behind again this time against Ayr.Another ninetieth minute winner securing the points and moving us up to third place.
Again we forced ourselves to do it the hard way, having to come back from one nil and two one down against Montrose. However the brace from Wlson and one by Smith secured the three two victory.
Hopefully the start of something as we finally record back to back league wins with this three two victory over Dumbarton. For once we didn't go behind as we raced into a twenty four minute two goal lead. We were pegged back level though with just under half an hour to play, however Wilson's goal twenty minutes from time secured the points.
My stints up, its not been the most convincing showing however we have made an okay start to our return to Scotland. We're predicted to finish third and currently occupy fourth spot, already four points behind the top two and two points behind Cowdenbeath in third place.
Remember him? You should. Tony Gallagher has joined us on a loan deal from Falkirk until the end of the season. We had him previously on loan when we were at Berwick Rangers and was surprised to see he hadn't broken into the first team at Falkirk as of yet. Hopefully he's a star for us again, like he was at Berwick.
And another player has joined the club on loan until the end of the current season. Eighteen year old Jordan Young has signed from Celtic. Can guarantee that he'll get game time at Borough Briggs this season.
John Rankin gave us a fourth minute lead against Championship side Brechin in the Challenge Cup and that's when the joy ended as Brechin levelled four minutes before half time and then we had an unacceptable collapse in extra time, which I WILL NOT tolerate. This could be a long three months unless something improves - two s**t performances!
Sigh. Thought I would've been getting my first win since taking charge but it wasn't too be as we squandered a 2-0 lead in Forfar. On loan striker Sean Wilson seemingly had us in control but missed chances and goals from Paul Gallagher and Stuart Evans ended up costing us maximum points.
You shouldn't need to score a 92nd minute winner against the basement club. Yet again it's wasn't an acceptable performance but goals from Kieran Campbell, Sean Wilson, John Rankin and Darren Whyte somehow gave us maximum points in this trip to Airdrie. We still can't seem to defend though, which should be a little concerning.
Now this was a dramatic improvement as Ayr were brushed aside at Borough Briggs courtesy of a hat trick from on loan striker Sean Wilson while centre midfielder John Rankin also found the back of the net. Paul Fraser had equalised for the visitors on eleven minutes (proves we still can't keep a clean sheet) but I'm glad we went on to secure maximum points. Turning point? Probably not but we'll see . . .
Nathan Austin's twenty seventh minute goal for East Fife gave them the three points at Borough Briggs, a little disappointed we couldn't get an equalising goal.
And we have returned to the unacceptable performances as the side couldn't even muster an attempt on target away to Montrose. I'm surprised our 'keeper didn't win the Man of the Match award but alas, a rubbish result but at least it's a rare clean sheet.
Oh my, this is fantastic news said no one ever as our on loan striker Sean Wilson has been ruled out for up to three months due to suffering a double hernia injury - the nineteen year old has bagged twelve goals thus far in his loan spell and will be hard to replace. Time for the other strikers to step up, and they bloody better.
On the field, results may not be ideal (bar those two wins) but this, this is huge! The Elgin board have allowed 'Dean Ashton' to take the next level in coaching badges and has allowed him to begin studying for the Cont. C Licence. The course will cost just under a grand, which will be covered by the football club. Fantastic news on what's been a pretty dismal stint for me thus far.

Poor start in the league losing out two one against Cowdenbeath, should be winning these, hopefully its just the side getting use to new tactics.
Dan
Gordon Smith fired us to our first league win of the season as we welcomed Forfar.

Boring 0-0 draw against League Leaders East Fife.

Still very hit and miss, a defeat against Peterhead here.

Or maybe we're not on to something a horrible turn around saw us throw away the points here.

Out fought and outplayed by the league favourites, and leaders Morton.
