Brechin sat in fourth before this game, we now sit in fourth as they beat us one nil. We've only won once in our last five on the road, not a pretty ending to my stint.

Well we're not out the title race nor the promotion race just yet, Dunfermline are sitting pretty at the top but only lead second placed St Johnstone by two points. They are a further two points ahead of Brechin who are then four points clear of us in fourth and Ross County in fifth. Livingston (6th) and Queen of South (7th) are only a further three points behind as just eleven points separate the top seven teams with thirteen league games remaining this season.

Pretty crap game against Ross County at Central Park as the points were shared in a one all draw as Craig Johnston cancelled out a Jason Kerr own goal that was scored a minute before. The game only had three attempts on target.

Eased into the next round of the Scottish Cup as goals from Danny Stoney and Ryan Walker gave us a 2-0 win away at League 2's Nairn County.

We continue to overachieve this season after this two goals to nil win away from home against Ayr as central midfielder Scott Allardice and right winger Craig Johnston were on target and it was a fully deserved win as we were the better side throughout. Still surprised at how we are doing this season.

Not the greatest result as the side could only draw at home to the basement club Motherwell, on loan Jon Grant scored our goal but the visitors levelled the scores on sixty five minutes. It's hard to believe that the last time we played 'well at home, we beat them five nil but not this time unfortunately.

With our first choice goalkeeper being ruled out for up to six weeks, I've brought in Brandon Austin on loan from Shrewsbury Town until the end of the season on Deadline Day. I would have loved to try and bring another one or two loanees into the club but with '15 minutes' remaining, that's going to happen and the squad will remain as it is, bar Austin's loan signing.

Out of the Scottish Cup after this disappointing single goal defeat away to League 1 side Raith.

And now I've suffered a league defeat away to Queen of the South, going down 3-2. Craig Johnston and Ryan Walker our scorers.

Back-to-back league defeats and our third in a row in all competitions after this one goal to nil loss at home to Dundee United. It was an unacceptable performance against the strugglers, even though they were predicted to win the title in pre season. We only had two attempts on target on a dismal afternoon.

A bit of positivity on what's been a pretty poor month on the field - we're going on our latest coaching course. Cowdenbeath will pay £1.2k to cover the course and it'll take around six months to study for the Continental B Licence.

We can't stop losing games now, league leagues St. Johnstone beat us three one at Central Park. Rubbish performance and it's four consecutive league games without a win - and one win in the last ten Championship games as the cracks have become visible and we're down to seventh but at least with Motherwell being dung, we shouldn't finish bottom of the table.

And another defeat has happened, Livingston won four one. Sigh.

Undeserved win at East End Park but Darren Lyon's thirty third minute goal has given us a much needed three points. Just our second Championship win in twelve games.

Back to normality following this defeat against Brechin at Central Park. Rubbish game mind.

Oh dear oh dear, what is going one, where do we lie in the table?

And that's my spell done and dusted and we've both had a horrible spell as both of us combined has seen us win just two games out of the last thirteen Championship games, which is relegation form but I'd like to think, bar a complete collapse from Dan (no pressure lad) we will be safe in the Championship which is a tremendous achievement in my opinion. Uploading now for Dan to take charge of the final four games.

Oh and I tried to 'cheat' for a league title. The St. Johnstone job became available after he departed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle and I decided to apply 'for a laugh' but I couldn't get an interview with them and we remain at 'The Blue Brazil' until at least the end of the season and then we'll (hopefully) look for a 'bigger' job.

Trying to stop the rot in our final four league games, off to a good start making sure we stay in the league and we've taken another step forward with a two nil home win against ayr United. Stoney and Walker netting for us. We remain in seventh though, three games to play.

This could prove to be a massive win! We travelled to fourth place Ross County and beat them one nil thanks to a single Gormley goal. We remain seventh as Ross County drop to sixth, thats how close it is! Two games to try and secure a playoff spot, Motherwell and Queen of South await.

Motherwell have been awful this season and we beat them with ease here winning two nil away from home as Walker and Stoney both netted first half goals for us. This is our third win on the bounce and now moves us to sixth, its all to play for in the final game.

Following the dullest first half ever I told the team at half time to go for it, switched to overload and crossed my fingers, afterall we needed three points to secure a playoff spot and boy did they respond. Almost immediately Gormley sent us one nil up. We conceded two minutes later however went on to run riot, Gormley striking a second in between Bobby Barr's two goals.


And so picking up four wins on the bounced put us back where we belong, back where we were for the majority of the season, in the playoffs. We will face Dunfermline over two legs in the first round of the playoffs.

And so its advantage Dunfermline, after the hard work of what we''ve done this season, our hopes of promotion lies in the second leg

Our home is our fortress! I told the team to 'do it for the fans' and look what they did, a two nil win sent us to extra time and then a shootout where we won. Stoney and Johnston both netting first half goal before we won the shootout 4-1!

Advantage Brechin and a mile clear, we were very poor at home as we got rinsed four one. We were in it in the forty eighth minute, one a piece, but then we conceded three, yes three goals in the final two minutes plus injury time.

Wasn't to be, a good season in he end comes to a close winning on the day 2-1 over Brechin but losing on aggregate five three as they win promotion to the SPL.

We're going back to England as we head to Preston, who were relegated from League One this season, they finished rock bottom just four points from safety and so go down along with Coventry, Doncaster and Plymouth. We also applied for Plymouth and Doncaster, had interviews at all three but Preston was the job I went for, league two football next year for us.

Some slightly disappointing news on the Preston team front, we need to find ourselves a whole new strikeforce as four out of five of our strikers are indeed breaking the no foreigner rule, meaning these players need to be shipped out and some new reinforcements brought in. Luckily we have plenty of time to oversee the changes.

Absolute shame we couldn't get promotion with Cowdenbeath but we had a tremendous season in the Championship. Quite annoying you're the only one who can seem to pass interviews as I either a) fail or b) don't even get an interview.

I'm looking forward to our spell at Preston.

We should be title challengers at Preston and no reason not to be! Time to turn a few heads!


First signing in and should be a starter, on loan from Derby and should take the league by storm.

We also add Aiden O'Brien on a free transfer, another good striker, adds experience at the age of 27. Should help bang the goals in.
