Decent performance at home to Dumbarton but with no cutting edge in the final third as the visitors win 2-0 and move to the L1 summit.

Red card changed the game as we were holding our own in this Scottish Cup tie against Championship high flyers Dunfermline - as soon as he went down to ten men, we had no answers at East End Park. I cannot wait for this horrible stint to come to an end.

Beaten again, had no cutting edge in the final third again and an unacceptable performance again. I've also set a new record (not one we wanted) but it's now FIVE games since we last scored a goal in all competitions and that's going to continue as this team is complete mince. Our last goal(s) came in a 4-1 win at home to Ayr back at the beginning of November.

Oh dear, this horrible stint has gone from bad to worse - at least we actually scored a goal though.


I can only deeply offer my apologies to Dan but I've got us the sack from Elgin as my stint just couldn't get started no matter how many times I tried to change the 'style' at Borough Briggs to try and win games and then the injury to our loanee striker didn't help matters either as the other strikers are mince compared to him. But sackings make careers and we'll come back stronger - but looks like Dan'll be taking over unemployed.

Tried to 'beg' the board for a little more time - they basically told me to 'f**k off and get out of their sight!'.

So after Shedender got us sacked, it was time to move quickly, he had applied for a job at Cowdenbeath, it turned to me to attend the interview and I did just that, their manager went to Elgin City funnily enough and left Cowdenbeath up in third...


Job done in the interview, blag it, say what they wanna hear as usual and it works. We're staying in Scotland and staying in the first division as we signed a year and a half term contract.


Heres the squad, three players need to be got rid of as they break the rules for us. No foreign players!

Just hope you're able to find a quality 'keeper to replace the Pole.

A good way to start our reign at Cowdenbeath which I imagine will be a short reign for the right reasons. Fulton (who played for us in our Berwick reign, gave us the lead before Walker netted a brace.

Found our new keeper, cost us £50k but well worth it, he'll immediately be our number one.

Two games, two wins and two clean sheets as we beat Airdrie one nil thanks to an early goal from Sean Hunter.

Second place vs first place and it ended in a two all draw. We trailed the league leaders two nil within twelve minutes. However after some harsh words were thrown around at half time we came back to level with Gordon and Hunter netting for us.

We didnt really deserve anything from this game and thats what we got, nothing in the end as we lost three two, Walker netted both our goals.

Delighted to beat our former employers Elgin City. Fulton netted first, the only first half goal before Hunter made it two nil. Wilson pulled one back for Elgin late on.

Peterhead were fourth, we were third, a good win thanks to our top scorer Ryan Walker, it moved us up second above Dumbarton now.

Disappointing two nil defeat!

We beat East Fife two one in the Fife derby. Johnston and Fulton set us two nil up at half time, we conceded one after the break but the win proved to be enough to send us top ot the league.

We lost to Montrose away from home two one. That defeat was enough to send us down to third in the league now.

That defeat finishes my stint and leaves the league wide open with four league games left, Shedender is in a battle with Dumbarton who we're tied on points with but trail on goal difference, and Morton who are a point ahead of us.

Third vs. Second ended in a stalemate at Central Park. we nearly stole all the points late on.

Not the greatest game at Cappielow but goals from Malky Baird and Ryan Walker has given us potentially a massive three points.

And that's our title hopes crushed following this defeat at home to Airdrie. I hate Scottish Football by the way as I can't seem to find any kind of consistency (apart from consistently getting beat - see Elgin) but the visitors struck early through Ross Forbes and late through Ryan McCord. We can still win the league but need to beat Forfar and hope both Morton and Dumbarton get beat on the final day, not happening.

Really can't believe what has happened on what was a 'dramatic' final day of the League One season. Cowdenbeath have went up as champions following our 2-1 win at home to Forfar, which wasn't as comfortable as I had hoped after goals from Jason Kerr and Ryan Walker had us two goals up - Darren McCormack saw red for two yellows and then the Station Park outfit scored pretty much straight after to make it a nervy ending.

Morton beat Elgin 2-0 but Dumbarton could only draw 1-1 at home to Ayr = Cowdenbeath champions!

Sorry Dan, it seems only you can see be successful in interviews ffs. Yeovil were relegated from League One and then sacked their manager even though he wasn't even under any ounce of pressure at the time. Of course I applied as they've made immediate returns to L1 twice iirc but it wasn't too be and it's their loss. Looks like we'll be remaining at Cowdenbeath for at least one full season.

Was at the club last season on loan from Dundee United, thought he done good enough to make the deal permanent. He joins on a free.


Can play in two positions and that's right back and central midfielder - he will be used at full back more so. Joined on a free from Championship winners Hamilton.


Another full back has joined, this time a left sided one and our second player to sign a pre-contract from Dundee United.


Signed from Livingston - can play in an attacking midfield though and also up top, if needed.


Can only play in the centre of midfield but this ball winning midfielder has joined the club from fellow Championship side St. Mirren (predictability) on a free.


Felt we needed to sign a centre back (or two) and I've done just that as this one joined from the Championship winners Hamilton, our second signing to do so and before anyone decides to ask, yes, ALL six summer signings (to date) have all been on free transfers and I'm still looking for at least another two as I'm predicting a struggle in the Championship.

Wow. Didn't win the league the easy way did you! Haha!

Don't know how you sucks at interviews so much, all up need to do is tell them what they are looking for each time and they'll offer it to you

What's the point in doing things the easy way? Ha. Oh I told the interviewer at Yeovil everything they wanted to hear but alas I wasn't offered the job - could have been because we haven't been at Cowdenbeath that long? Sure, they'll be managerless in about two seasons again, ha!


Huge news!

One more signing has been made as Jon Grant has signed on a season loan from Brentford.

Dan and I have changed this around for the next few seasons, so I start the campaign.


Around five or six players made their competitive debuts for Cowdenbeath in this first round Challenge Cup trip to League Two's Montrose. Danny Stoney scored on his debut inside the first minute (and then got injured) before winger Craig Johnston, one of the few who weren't making their debut doubled the lead seven minutes before half time. It was important we looked good and didn't suffer an upset.

We won't win the competition as our punishment for winning is a second round home tie against Ross County.

Second half goals from William Boyle and Ryan Walker see us advance to the next round of the League Cup.

Superb start to the league season, yes we didn't pick up maximum points on our travels but we did hold the league favourites Dundee United to a 2-2 draw at Tannerdice. Danny Stoney and Craig Johnston our scorers, and we actually head the lead in the game for four minutes. Encouraging stuff.
