I don't know how you still do so well despite having the core of your team leaving. In my Sporting career, every other season (I am 4 years in), there have been significant departures and a lot of incomings to replace them, but we never do as well. I did the treble in the first season and the quadruple in the 3rd however in the second, I came 3rd and in the fourth, I am currently 3rd again.

Well the players that ended up departing the club this summer weren't really regulars in the starting XI so they wouldn't have been as missed as say if I sold someone like Cristiano Ronaldo (which I wouldn't have the balls to do, guy is consistently outstanding for me). I've never changed my formation or the style of play and despite being at a club as big as Real Madrid, I'm playing a 'cautious' style.
I've honestly no idea how I'm consistently doing so well. I mean, in our first sixteen league games this season, we've conceded 3 times.

However for the first time since I arrived at Real Madrid, we did retain the league title which I was delighted with and along with adding the Spanish Super Cup and the Spanish Cup then it wasn't the worst season I've had at a football club although I would've loved that illusive twelfth CL crown but c'est le vie. I've still got one league game to play this season - at home to Real Oviedo.
I'm planning on selling Gareth Bale in the summer if I can receive a decent enough bid for him as he's become injury prone.
One Night In Grimsby
I'm now in my tenth year as GTFC boss and in that time we've been:
- promoted from the Conference
- lost in a league 2 playoff final
- promoted from league 2
- relegated from league 1
- promoted from league 2 (again)
- promoted from league 1
- avoided relegation from the Championship (finished a comfortable 16th)
I'm now about to start my second season in the Championship, with the board expecting mid-table. I'm hoping for a playoff push but it will be a big ask, there's some big teams with a lot of money in the league and my budget is still very limited.
Nice going, do your still have any of your original squad? I've always found it rewarding to try and keep at least a few members that have been with me from the start.
One Night In Grimsby
None of the original squad still playing in my team but I have Craig Disley (who was my captain in the Conference) as my assistant manager, after being coach for a year or two after he retired, so he's been with me the whole way. My original keeper, James McKeown, stayed with me until we were promoted from League 1, but then wanted to leave for a new challenge, else he'd still be with me too! He's now playing back in the Conference North. And one of the squad, Adam May in midfield has been with me since League 2.
I tried keeping the best of the original squad together and they played well in League 2 to get me promoted first time round, but weren't so good in League 1 (and we were relegated), so had a rebuild and it's come together nicely!
First season (in the Conference) I finished 12th, so I was very surprised to keep my job then! If I can get the finances sorted I may be able to push for a new stadium which should then help us push on a bit and challenge nearer the top of the Championship!

Fair play lad. I don't think I'd be able to enjoy a career like that without getting frustrated.
I had a save going with Real Madrid so I could 'splash the cash' but as soon as I started to dominate the domestic league - six La Liga titles in a row - I ended up getting bored and deleted the save but now I can't get into a career and feel a break might help. During my eight or so years in charge I won the La Liga title seven times, three(?) Champions League trophies (and was in four consecutive finals), won the Club World Cup, Spanish Super Cup numerous occasions, the Spanish Cup numerous occasions and the European Super Cup like once or something.
I then took over my first national team job, which was Italy but ended up getting the sack after a poor European Championship campaign but then the France job became available after that tournament and I had more success as I guided the nation to World Cup success and also won that Nations League thingy but that one's irrelevant. It was a fun career while it lasted and apart from Bangor, it was the longest career I had going on FM16.
One Night In Grimsby
Stumbled on a 4-2-3-1 tactic that worked in League 2 and up until promotion from League 1. Now I've switched back to a standard 4-4-2 in the Championship as my players are definitely not as good individually. Getting lots of 1-0 away wins which is so satisfying!
One Night In Grimsby
Not expecting my good form to last, first target is 50 points and then see where it goes from there. 17 points chalked up so far.
Ipswich Knights
I've played in Morocco and Egypt which are fun as there is a fair amount of cash to spend there, making winning the African champions league a real possibility if that's your aim.
I also did a save which took in Cameroon and Ghana in West Africa on FM14, they get some pretty good regent despite the leagues being generally quite poor standards and you could well get a job at a Champions league club right from the start due to the relatively low reputations there.

Exciting times ahead! lol
