It's hardly using it as an insult, I get where you're coming from sort of, but that is ridiculous.

Are you actually saying that you can't see how calling someone 'gay' for having their teeth whitened isn't homophobic?

I expect we probably all use 'gay' fairly loosely in our usual speech on here, but when you're in the public eye you need to choose your words better.

Frankly, it may seem harsh but given the homophobia that is rife within football, homophobia needs to be dealt with harshly.
