It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.
Extracting the file will take a while, but it shouldn't take the hours and hours that the program extracting will sometimes say it will. To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

I am using uTorrent and it just wont download. It is stuck at Connecting to Peers. I have DHT and Peer Exchange activated. What torrent client are you using ?

Thank you very much for the replies. It seems that I was running the latest version of uTorrent (3.49 I guess) and that one is a piece of crap since the company was bought by BitTorrent. However I installed qBitTorrent and it works flawlesly. I cant wait to install this pack.
1 More idiotic question: I am now downloading the Megapack 9 (8.26 GB). Is this the latest version to date or do I still need to download additional small update packs ?

Are you saying you downloaded up to 8.05? If yes, then just download update packs 8.06-8.09 and update pack 9.0 and apply them in chronological order
Which mirror are you downloading from? If it's an issue from their end, there's not much we can do tbh

Edit: Have tried multiple times now, with different settings. Some of the faces, maybe 10% or less appear. For example, at Liverpool only Henderson, Firmino, Manninger and Matip appear afters. Then Coutinho, Can, Clyne and Karius appear the other time I try....

Once you've done this, load up Football Manager and go to "Preferences" and then "Display & Sound". Make sure that you tick the check box on the page called "Always Reload Skin on Confirm" and un-tick then box saying "Use Skin Cache". Hit Confirm.

I was under the impression that only premium members would download from sortitoutsi. Can you confirm whether you are downloading them directly from here or if you are using a mirror site?
Then you either haven't downloaded the full pack or you haven't installed it correctly, I'm afraid. When that happens, it means that the config is pointing to an image file which is not in place. Can you let me know how many images there are in your megapack folder and give me a couple of examples of players to whom this happens? Please also make sure that you don't have any sub-folders within the faces folder.
I suspect you have them some images contained within sub-folders. Is this the case? You should have all the images contained in one folder and one folder only. P.S. Have a look at the OP and also make sure you preferences are set up in the same manner.
I'll have to update this part as it's outdated. Have a look at the opening post of this thread for a better guide on how to get to the respective section within the preferences.
The question may be easy, but the answer isn't unfortunately. Have a look at this thread. It may be 4 years old but it's still relevant. Basically, it's not possible at the moment as we're still in beta and it may still be difficult once the full game is released.

Some four years ago, I did have premium membership. When I click the 'latest changes button,' it takes me to the following screen (below). I then click on 'Download Changes' and it immediately brings up a Save As screen and initiates the download.
I've tried downloading on Firefox, as I use Chrome, but the same problem persists.

More details about the error message, maybe a screenshot?
You said "at the end", does it only happen at the very end or half way through the file?
