Hi all.

Just a quick one , I don't want my managers face to appear as a n FM model, I want to use a cut out face pack face as I usually play as a retired player to make it more realistic , I don't like having a model as my face on press conferences etc...

Is there a way to change this ?

Thanks

I asked the same thing on Steam and didn't get a response, so I'll have to bump it. It seems like an odd omission that player's can have imported faces, but not our head coach. Perhaps there's a backdoor approach to all this where I can put my image in my graphics folder and maybe weezle its way in to replace my 3D model portrait?

I'm hoping so.

I'm trying to be Fernando Morientes managing Southampton here !!!

Tried using his face to make the model and it looks nowt like him.

Hate the whole regen thing with fm and I hate the fact Fernando looks like a poor regen and not the face from the facepack I want.

Here's another flaw with the system (assuming we are indeed locked into the avatar faces): There doesn't seem to be a way to modify the avatar's face post-creation. Once you create your career mode and character, the two are locked in and synonymous with each other. What's worse, the game doesn't let you preview what your face looks like in the inbox interface until AFTER the character is created, so if you don't like the inbox face, you'll have to backtrack out of your save and restart a whole new career mode, which means loading all the clubs back into a fresh save.

On one hand, I can understand locking in an avatar's face to compel players to embrace the look of their head coach through thick and thin, and it certainly would be awkward to other online players if they notice a player's avatar was suddenly changed mid-way through a season, but I don't think these issues are worth depriving the player of the customization flexibility offered in FM16.

Overall, a step back for the franchise.

Edit: I have thought of one thing that could save all this: If there's a DLC option post-beta allowing for the revising of customized character faces. This DLC could be in the same section as all the other DLC options, such as the player avoiding being fired. For now, we can't see the DLC options, so it's just a theory.

Quick bump just to say it looks like SI are aware of this.
https://community.sigames.com/topic/382387-please-give-the-option-to-include-a-photo-on-the-manager-profile/

What's interesting is it's one of the few and almost only topics with a "reviewed" tag to it, so it tells me the developers are taking it seriously.

I have changed my managers face to my own face, but I had to remove the installation because I had problems with windows.
Once I had fm 2017 reinstalled I wanted to change my managers face that I had made.
But for one reason the face was still in the game although I ahd removed the installation of fm 2017.
Can someone tell me where this file is placed on my computer or is it placed somewhere in the cloud? because I want to use another picture for my face.

Thanks for helping me out.

I just came on here to see if there was a workaround... It was me that posted that thread on the SI board! It just doesn't make sense to remove the option of having a manager photo.
