Harry complaining about how much money some of his players are on but now wants to spend 20m+ on Remy, M'Villa and Diame.

That will sort your finances.

QPR seem doomed - their squad seems like such a mismatch. Who'd have thought Esteban Granero and Julio Cesar would end up in the same team as Clint Hill and Jamie Mackie a couple of years ago? I kinda hope they get relegated, just to show that spending recklessly with little thought to a squad's balance is a recipe for disaster.

Quite pleased with the prospect of Ba joining. He's exactly the sort of striker that will fit in well and add something different. While I still expect Torres to get games, given he's also been scoring, Ba will also feature regularly enough through the middle. Given Torres has more or less played every game possible this season, he will need resting at some point. Can't risk injury when he's the only noted striker in the side who is available now that Sturridge looks to be off.

I still think Chelsea will bring in another striker possibly, (maybe loan return of Lukaku?). Otherwise another good ball winning midfielder is a must in Jan.

Portsmouth mark 2.

Spot on, Portsmouth & QPR weren't the first teams to overspend and i dont imagine they'll be the last either. Atleast Pompey had something to show for there massive overspending though, and the dodgy owners they had didn't help either. Seems like Fernandes whilst he has spent a fortune atleast he has a credible background and seems like hes not just going to up sticks and leave.

Can see them having trouble offloading a few of the players though, they wont want to move on and get less money so unless they have relegation clauses in their contracts reducing wages then QPR will be fucked

Ba's move has apparently collapsed after "unproductive talks".

I reserve the right to say that any move would be heavily motivated by the money involved, mind.

I wouldn't read much into it just yet personally. Contracts are never instantly agreed upon first time around.

I'd say Chelsea would still be in pole position though given the other interested sides linked. If it's money, he's going to be hard pressed getting more from any of the other sides interested, while he'll also need to factor in competition for places and challenging for trophies. Give it a week or so and then see what happens.

He supports PSG - if they bid he won't go to Chelsea.

There's elements of both in PSG tbf - both he supports them and they have enough cash to fund the next Greek bailout.

He's definitely an arse if he joins QPR, mind.

PSG??

They're probably the only exception (though wasn't aware they were linked with him). But again, he'd be lucky to get a game there with the attacking options they already have. I guess a lot of it will come down to what he values more, the dollar or playing time. Given he won't want to be played out of position as he's already shown displeasure with this at Newcastle.

It's clear he values money pretty highly as he's playing every game in his preferred position at Newcastle.

I'm only really thinking of the likes of Hoilett, Faurlin, Granero, Taarabt. I doubt there'd be a shortage of takers for them.

It's the likes of SWP, Bosingwa, Cissé and Park Ji-Sung they'll have problems with. I doubt there's anybody stupid enough to try and buy them.

Never going to happen

Perhaps, but you still post transfer rumours regarding Liverpool that are even less likely to happen.
