Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

Never mind, I've messed around with my CPU settings and got it down significantly. Cheers.

It's supposed to take a while, but definitely not that long. Try closing any other applications running on your system. Whether your hard disk is an SSD also makes a difference, I'm led to understand.

Cheers mate - I've got it down to 1 hour now, so we're all good!

I've noticed faces for Jude Bellingham (Birmingham) & Eduardo Camavinga (Stade Rennes) are no longer showing. I know these faces should be licensed for the game but any idea why they my updated mega packs have removed them?
mons
Both of them have images in the megapack and both are in the 12.09 config, so it looks like you may either not have the full megapack or you have installed it incorrectly.
How many images do you have in your megapack folder and can I have a screenshot of it?

Hi,
thanks, I corrected it.
Have a nice day

can i get a list of 3 people who are in each download of the part-to-part cutout facepacks so i know that they are working as i go along them please
cheers
mons
The split packs are generated automatically so short of downloading them, no one will be able to assist.
It may be quicker if you download the main pack via torrent, then only download the update packs separately...

Any thoughts?

Instead of faces call your folder players (all lower case). I bet that will make it work ok. That’s the folder order / names I have and mine works fine. I have about 11,500 player and staff pics.

I've no idea how you've managed to do that. Both Liverpool and Man Utd have faces for their whole squad in the megapack, and only a handful of minor staff members don't, for both teams. I suspect you've either downloaded an update pack instead of the full megapack, or you've not installed it correctly.
How many images do you have in your megapack faces folder? You should have well over 250,000 if you're up-to-date with the latest packs.
Screenshots of your faces folder would help

I am close to completing the full pack download which is the 15gb one. Do i then need to download any of the updates?
Regards
mons
If it's the full megapack, 15.22GB in size and with over 257,000 images in the faces folder, then you are sorted and don't need to download anything else

Thank-you

I've recently got a new laptop so over the past few days I've downloaded the player faces mega pack from scratch, see below:
I've extracted 'sortitoutsi_cutout_megapack_12.00.part1' which has gone into the 'faces' folder at the top of the screen. Seems to have worked fine, there are 235,294 items in there.
The problem comes when I try to extract the second part. Firstly, when extracting, it automatically creates another 'sortitoutsi' and 'faces' folder within the 'faces' folder already created when I extracted part 1. I'm not sure if this will stop FM detecting the pictures or if I can just sort this out manually. The main issue, however, is that it seems to contain the exact same faces as part 1. Should this be the case?
I'm not sure if I'm just missing something but I wanted to check before going through each part of the megapack.
Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

I've moved this to here
Versions 12.00 part 1 to part 15 are all the same file, just split up for reasons of ease of downloading. If you extract part 1, winrar will automatically extract all the other 14 parts. Which is why you have over 235,000 already; that's the whole 12.0 pack.
What you now need to do is to extract the update packs. These you need to do one by one, starting with 12.01 and going up to 12.09. Yes, you will be prompted to say if you want to overwrite existing files, but there will be some missing images as well. At the end of this whole process, you will have over 257,000 files in both the faces and iconfaces folders.
Hope this helps.

Ah right, thanks very much! I've now got my files set up as follows:
There is 257k in the faces folder and around 235k in the icon faces folder. Not entirely sure why there's a difference but at least I know most of them are there. I've done the reload skin but the faces are not appearing. I believe I've sorted my folders properly, and there is also a config file in each of the 'faces' and 'icon faces' folders for good measure. Any idea why they wouldn't be showing in game? Thanks again.
Qvordrup
Try deleting the config file that is outside the "faces" and "iconfaces" folders. That might be the solution.

What else is in your graphics folder? Do you have any sub-folders in the faces folder? Screenshots of both if possible
Oh, and have you removed that config file from the screenshot above?
JamesDavies10
Graphics folder -
Sortitoutsi folder -
Faces folder -
I have just noticed the sub-folder in the faces folder (it only shows up when the folder is fully loaded I think), please see below:
The iconfaces pack from the last screenshot has around 40k items in.
Should I delete the sub-folder?
mons
Everything appears to be in place, can I see a screenshot of the interface part of your preferences?
JamesDavies10
The contents of the icon folder has now been moved, with the 40k one now deleted. Now the faces and icon faces have 257k items in. There are no sub-folders in either.
The interface screen:

Again, all is fine. And how do players look in-game? Is it the black default face or is it a blank space?

put this config in the "faces" folder and overwrite the one already there. Then you should be good
JamesDavies10
That's done the trick

Downloaded the cut out faces pack and can´t find the config file. Someone know where I can get it?
