A busy summer of spending and shopping about for potentially good loans is over.

Here are the movements both in and out of AFC Wimbledon ahead of the 2015-2016 season.

So pre season is done and dusted for another year.

I think we can look back on it and be confident we've got enough about us when we're at our best to give automatic promotion from League One a real crack this season. There was really no difference between ourselves, Manchester United and Arsenal in our pre season clashes which was extremely encouraging.

In the end it proved a little bit much playing Chelsea, a third consecutive Premier League team, the result comprehensive on the scoreboard and in truth we struggled to cope with their wingers.

Perfect start to the new League One season in my opinion and I'm impressed at how well we dominated proceedings. I think I've more confidence in the squad this season as well, comparing my bench now to last season it looks completely different and we've got quality to bring on in every position, that's got to make a difference over the course of the season I'd assume. Our next game is an away trip to face Yeovil Town, now of League Two, in the Capital One Cup first round and win will mean I meet the boards minimum requirement.

So we're at the half way mark in League One and the race for automatic promotion is intense. It's probably fair to say that Brighton will win the league considering they're running away with things currently, they boast the best attack and best defence in the league, so it's no surprise they're sitting pretty at the top of League One.

Our season has been a bit up and down really. I say that because we really should have turned about 5 of our draws into wins and those extra points would see us comfortably sitting in second place. We've only lost away from home and at one stage we had a 14 unbeaten game run going in the league, although 9 of those 14 games ended in draws, a frustrating period for the club really.

The race for the final automatic promotion place from League One is going to go down to the wire. Just 4 points separate us and Doncaster Rovers with 6 games remaining. We're all but guaranteed a place in the playoffs but automatic promotion would be a fantastic achievement for the club and has to be the goal. I'm confident if we can avoid injuries to key players like Karl Sheppard and Kevan Grundy we can catch Doncaster in the next few games.

Unfortunately we had to settle for a place in the playoffs after our form slumped in the final six games.

To be honest the damage to our automatic promotion chances was done throughout the season as we drew games we should have won earlier in the season, as you can see we drew a whooping 20 games and whilst we proved difficult to beat only losing 5 in the league, all of those games away from home, we just didn't win enough games that we dominated and in the end we couldn't catch Doncaster Rovers.

I'm confident going into the playoffs considering we've not been beaten by Tranmere, Hartlepool or Barnsley all season. In saying that the playoffs can be completely unpredictable and we've got to be ready for anything.

We've got the advantage heading into the second leg after a come from behind victory over Barnsley. The game was a close one and the result could have gone either way. I'm obviously delighted we've got a slender lead heading into the second leg and I think we'll be heading to Wembley, I mean I'm confident because we've not been beaten at home all season.

We've done it, we're going to Wembley to contest the League One playoff final with Tranmere and we're favourites to win, hopefully promotion to the Championship is just one game away. I'm not sure how much money promotion would get us but I'd imagine it would be quite a nice amount and would help the club massively as we continue to grow.

We've done it, we've beaten Tranmere in the playoff final at Wembley and booked our place in the Championship next season. It's been a fantastic season and it ended on a high note just as I wanted it to.

Hopefully next season we'll be able to survive in the Championship, I'm looking at a 3-4 year plan before we start challenging for promotion to the Premier League. I'm sure it'll be a very busy summer and I think we need to strengthen in every position except for our goalkeepers.

The new season in the Championship is fast approaching, our pre season preparations are complete, I've strengthened the side and we've got a good chance of staying up I believe.

Unfortunately we'll need to do it without club icon Kevan Grundy who departs for Celtic in a deal worth almost £8 million. I couldn't turn that amount of money down as it secures the future of the club for a long time and has allowed us to add numerous players on a permanent basis.

The highest profile signing is that of 35 year old Ashley Cole who still has a lot to offer at a Championship level. I've named the left back as my captain for the upcoming season and I'm hoping he can lead us to another successful campaign. It's very odd knowing we're just one good season away from playing Premier League football and I'm hoping I can build over the next few years so we can challenge for promotion.

So life in the Championship started away at the Liberty Stadium and we've managed to pick up a point against Swansea City. The game was a tough one and we found ourselves under pressure for large parts of the first half and early in the second half, unfortunately in the end they grabbed an equalizer but I'm not to disappointed considering we've begun life in the Championship with a positive result.

What a sell. Maybe you lost your best player but it should give you room to bring in atleast 4 good players on tranfer fee.

Definitely has afforded me more room to bring in players.

If we can stay up this season we'll be in such a good position financially for the coming years.

£29million is lot of money for a club of your size, especially on a stadium capable of holding just under 16,000!

In the end it will cost us just under £23 million to build the new stadium. I think it's a fantastic move by the club, it'll give us almost triple the capacity we currently have at our stadium now and with us being in the Championship we really could do with the extra space for more bums on seats. I think the loan is until something like 2031 which means it's spread over a long period of time and won't have a huge impact on transfer and wage budgets.

The only way I can see it being a terrible thing is if we were to suffer back to back relegations.

So the Championship season is approaching the finish line and we're in a relegation battle. We've so far played 34 games and picked up 34 points, pretty much on par with what I had expected prior to the season beginning.

In previous seasons a point per game has been enough to generally stay up and that's what I've been trying to aim for at the very least. As you can see things couldn't really be any tighter and we'll really need to win our remaining home games to ensure we stay up. If we win our 5 remaining home games I'm confident we'll stay up.

If we win those 5 remaining home games we'd be sitting on 49 points and no team has gone down in the last 4 seasons after collecting that many points. So away from home we need to try pick up what we can and try win all our remaining home games, if we can do that then we'll be safe and will be playing Championship football again next season. Personally I think we can do it if we avoid injuries and suspensions, fingers crossed!!

So we've been relegated from the Championship on the final day of the season after a 1-0 defeat at Portman Road against Ipswich Town. A long hard season has come to an end and we just didn't have enough to stay up in the end. There was plenty of games we should have won but only managed to draw and in the end that has cost us dearly. I'm not sure how much relegation will cost us financially but it's probably safe to say that some players will need to leave during the summer and some others will need to be brought in if I'm to meet the boards expectations in regards to the wage budget.

We were just wasteful in front of goal, all season we struggled to hit the net on a regular basis and in the end that cost us. Hopefully next season we'll be competing for the League One title and hopefully bounce back at the first opportunity. We got taken over towards the end of last season and the new owner seems to have some money so hopefully we'll be able to bring in new players during the summer (I hate fucking loan deals, never know what you're going to get).

So the summer is over, transfers in and out have been completed, pre season friendlies have been completed and all that's left is to start the League One season. The aim this season is to finish top of the table as champions and bounce back at the very first opportunity. With the players that have come in I feel we should have enough about us to win the League One title, although we'll need to make sure we become ruthless in front of goal unlike last season when that ultimately cost us. As soon as we suffered relegation Kevin Doyle and Scott Allan asked to leave so I shipped their asses right out the door. As for Todd Kane, Thomas Carroll and Declan Rudd they all had minimum relegation release clauses which teams activated so I was powerless to keep them, although in the near future certain young players that were brought in will replace them and be much better options.

So as you can see our pre season preparations yielded five wins from five games.

We scored plenty of goals and appeared solid at the back which was nice to see, although the level of opposition we faced wasn't exactly top notch. Regardless I thought it was important that we hit the ground running during pre season and did our best to forget about our recent relegation woes.

Fingers crossed we're suitably prepared for the opening day clash against Rochdale.
