The amazing thing about this season so far has been our unbelievable away form, it's almost like we enjoy playing away from home more than playing at home, maybe it's the plush hotels on offer or the fun activities the players get to do when away from the family, who knows, I'm not complaining at all.
Our stand out player has been Marcus Perry who is on loan from Southampton. The 22 year old has been in incredible form netting 11 times in just 15 League One appearances. He's also been chipping in with plenty of assists and Billy Sharp, Emmanuel Ledesma and Josip Bezer have all flourished playing alongside the young striker.

We were struck by a little injury crisis with Sam Hutchinson, Robbie Brady and Josip Bezer all suffering injuries that range in the 5-6 weeks out bracket. The latter pair are still out and although we've got by relatively alright the fatigue was getting to some players whose performances began to suffer.
So I've delved into the loan market for one final push to the finish line and I believe I've brought in three players who can help us hold off the challenge of Chesterfield or Portsmouth to secure automatic promotion back to the Championship. We've also made it to the final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy South section and if we overcome Gillingham we'll face either Oldham or Scunthorpe at Wembley.
I have to admit I'm going to be going all out to win the competition and pick up some silverware.

The goal now is to push on in the last 15 games of the season and try secure at least 90 points. Personally I feel that will be enough to win League One and if not then it'll definitely be enough for automatic promotion.
In 5 of the last 7 seasons if a team has got to 90 points they've won the league.

As Fergie would say it's squeaky bum time!!

I would love to win the league as I've not picked up any silverware apart from the playoff final victory but if I have to settle for second then so be it. Automatic promotion would be fantastic after the last two average seasons we've endured and would be definitely well ahead of the boards minimum expectation of reaching the playoffs.

I'm delighted we will once again be playing in the Championship next season and now we just need to kick on for the remaining games in an attempt to win the league. We've two home games left against Nottingham Forest and Wycombe while our last game of the season is away at Oldham so I'm confident we can seal top spot.

90 Points would of been enough to seal the title as you predicted, well done on your first league win mate, back to the championship with some force next year I hope!
K3V0
Yeah surprised they've both been relegated, feel sorry for Bolton really, not so much Birmingham, don't particularly like them as a club for some reason in FM... Thankfully we've gone up as champions and it was nice that I predicted what would be enough points wise!!
The Championship is going to be very tough, our wage budget will stay the same as it was in League One and our loan options aren't as good because clubs now expect us to pay wages in full or say 50% which we can't. So with loans I'm going to be looking at players that can be used as backup to fill in the gaps I suppose.
Here is the final League One table for anyway that's interested.

Yep they went into administration about three games into the season I think it was.

It was a harsh result on the hosts as the game probably should have ended all square but I'll take those vital three points. As you can see there wasn't much in the way of transfers in or out during the summer.
The reason for this is the board gave me the same wage budget as we had last season in League One and with various players having 25% promotion wage rises it means we've had little to offer players that were available on free transfers. Also I've found that the majority of loans now will cost us at least 50% of wages, something we can't afford and I think that has to do with the fact we're now a Championship club.

I've learned my lesson from previous players leaving due to minimum fee release clauses and there was no such clause in his contract, so if we do receive offers in the future we're free to negotiate and hold out for a larger fee than just his value which currently is £1.7 million, not bad for a free transfer.

What a signing Kevin Hassan is, he looks phenomenal!
K3V0
Yeah man it's looking good so far and hopefully we can keep it up!!
He certainly looks like a great player, the most likely outcome there is that he stays for a season or two and then one of the bigger sides comes in to take him off our hands for a large sum of money.

Cheers mate.
I'd rather keep hold of him and make it into the Premier League to be honest but if we need to sell I'll sell. I've no problems doing that if I need to, need to be ruthless in lower league management.

In saying that we've got a chance if we make the playoffs so I'll be doing my best to keep everybody fit.

The goal was to avoid relegation and we've done that so anything extra this season is a positive.
I'm kind of hoping we don't go up to the Premier League via the playoffs this season because I don't think we'd have enough about us to compete. I'd rather do it slow and steady and be ready if you know what I mean. I'm confused really, I mean it'd be great to go up but I'm also being very cautious.
