Wasn't Ronaldo talking about his ambitions to become Real Madrid's all-time leading goalscorer the other day?

At the rate he's going, that can't be too far off.

Yeah he refused to celebrate his goals because he wasn't happy. How couldn't he be happy when he's getting 200/300k a week to kick around a ball.

That's a stupid statement to make

It's fine, it's just a point made a lot of the time that really bugs me. It's ignorant to simply assume that money = happiness.

Collymore said today that Carrick is the weak link in the United team and that he wasn't good in the Madrid game - based on watching 15 minutes of it.

"I watched a 15-minute highlight segment of the second half the day after the Madrid game and Carrick only featured in it twice."

He's also insulted Paddy Creland and seemingly George Best, which has caused a rage on Twitter. I have enough reasons to despise him anyway.

David Gill is stepping down in June.

Ed Woodward will take over.

Used to work for JP Morgan, helped the Glazers with their takeover and then got rewarded with a job. Massively 'in' with the Glazers and no experience of doing the job that Gill did.

I'm fairly unenthused to say the least.

Although he has a brilliant name, so there's one positive at least.

Perhaps it was always planned that he would eventually take Gill's position, but the Glazers wanted there to be a gradual transition.

I can just imagine the two of them building bunk beds when we play away from home and running around screaming more room for activities!! Hernandez looks a little mental at the end of that gif tbh.

Fergie wants us to keep Nani, but Nani wants first-team football. In fairness, when he's on form, he walks into the team so hopefully it can turn out to benefit both parties.

Not surprised he wants to keep him because when he performs he's world class.

Sir Alex Ferguson praises Ryan Giggs as a "marvellous player and an exceptional human being" after the Manchester United winger signed a new one-year deal on Friday.

Ferguson says: "What can I say about Ryan that hasn't already been said? He is a marvellous player and an exceptional human being. Ryan is an example to us all, the way in which he has, and continues to, look after himself.

"He has fantastic energy for the game and it is wonderful to see. Ryan seems to reach a new milestone every week and to think that he now has 23 unbroken years of league goals behind him is truly amazing in the modern-day game."

Exceptional footballer; scummy human-being. Similar to Rooney actually, you have a nice little collection of them.

Giggs' professionalism in terms of his attitude towards football is incredible - he's adapted his game magnificently as he's gotten older, and he's obviously been extremely dedicated when it comes to maintaining a good level of fitness over the years. However, in terms of his personal life, he's still a low-life and a cheating piece of shit.

Scholes is the archetype for how a modern footballer should be.

Fuck off.

You can judge if your shitty team hadn't have given Ranger so many chances. Scholes is a great professional and every player should aspire to follow in his wake off the field.

Giggs though only shagged a slag. Hardly makes him a terrible human. That is reserved for the Suarezs and the Hindleys of the world
