Tough luck against Spartak, but I am confident you will beat Roma. I know you just need a draw, but I think you will win the game and qualify.

Hopefully man.

It would be nice to go into the Barcelona game knowing it doesn't matter and being able to shuffle the side around. We've suffered a bit of a horror run with injuries in the last few weeks, currently have about five first team players out and it's effected results. We've only won one in our last five Premier League games which isn't good enough if we want to challenge for a top four spot.

Not the best result or game of football but we got the result we needed and that's all that matters right now. We've exceeded expectations already by getting out of the group stage so anything from here on is a bonus. We can now enjoy the moment at the Nou Camp and not worry about needing a win or anything like that.

Congratulations and good luck on the knockout stage. You should have won that game with Roma playing with 10 players for almost the whole game...especially after I predicted a win

So 2013 is here and I've a little update on how we've been going domestically.

We're currently in with a chance of going finish fourth in back to back seasons and that'll be the goal from here on. As for the Capital One Cup and the FA Cup we were knocked out of the former at the quarter final stage which was disappointing as I felt we could have won that competition.

As for the FA Cup we beat Chelsea in the third round and have been drawn against Aston Villa in the next round, that game set to take place at Villa Park and hopefully we'll be able to book our place in the fifth round.

Two new signings join us in January, a backup left back for Ryan Bertrand and a long term replacement for the aging Tim Krul who is 34 years of age now and may only have a few seasons left at this level.

That was not an easy group to get trough so kodo's for that. And in the league still in contention to get an other season of champions-league football.

Good luck against Juventus. You look good in the league through the mid-season and a Champions League place is there for you to take.

So in the space of four days we've been embarrassingly eliminated from the FA Cup by Championship opposition Bournemouth and put one foot in the next round of the Champions League after a stunning 4-2 win over Italian giants Juventus. What a difference a few days make in football.

So we've got a bit of work to do going into the second leg of our Champions League quarter final clash with Barcelona but we've got to be happy that we've still got a chance in the contest and scored that all important away goal. If we play well in the second leg and take our chances then we can turn this around I've no doubt about that.

What a night to put in one of our best performances ever. We've humbled one of the biggest sides in Europe and nobody can take that away from us. Now we've got an all English affair against Manchester United in the semi final and the first leg is going to be crucial to the outcome, if we get a good result to take to Old Trafford we've got a chance of booking our place in the final, although that's going to be very tough because this Manchester United side is frighteningly good in attack. In saying that we did beat them 2-0 earlier in the season at Old Trafford so as we know anything can happen once the players cross the white line.

Over the two legs the better team won and they showed their class. In the end we just couldn't score goals against them and keep them out, they're far to good in this moment in time and that's why they've won the Premier League and Capital One Cup so far this season.

They'll meet Manchester City in the final and that's going to be a huge game. As for us we've got two Premier League games remaining against Manchester City and QPR away from home. Right now we're chasing a top three finish and have already booked our place in the top four at the very least.

It really is scary to think of how far ahead of the rest Manchester United and Manchester City are. Both in the Champions League final and both well ahead of the chasing pack in the Premier League. We were outclassed in this game and although we had five clear cut chances we never looked like keeping pace with them and in truth we did well to make the score line look a little less embarrassing after being thumped 7-0 in the first half.

We now go into the last game of the Premier League season knowing we need to beat QPR and hope Arsenal don't win away against Leicester City to clinch third spot and an automatic spot in the group stages of next seasons Champions League.

EDIT: I was wrong, I apologize, Porto actually beat City on away goals, so the Champions League final is between Manchester United and FC Porto, my bad everybody!!!

I introduce you to Ishmael Corrigan (if I haven't before that is). Now Ishmael had a normal upbringing in Morecambe, his Dad worked as a firefighter and his mother a nurse. He dreamt of one day wearing the England shirt and use to run around the park wearing the shirt of his favourite player, which was Wayne Rooney of course, England's all time leading goalscorer. It's safe to say Ishmael has achieved those childhood dreams and at just 23 years of age he may one day eclipse his idols 71 goals for England.

Oh and he's not to bad for Newcastle United either!!

Pre season went smoothly as hoped, no injuries to report and some very comprehensive wins. Now we'll turn our attention to our opening day clash against Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium.
