Fist month done. I tried a tactic I have used with some success at Dortmund, and it seems to work pretty well here as well. Yan Klukowski in particular impressed in his role as Mario Götze.

We're facing League One side Walsall in the 2:nd round of the FA cup.



Promotion, anyone?

Not as good as I hoped.



The first game vs Walsall was quite spectacular: They made 3-2 in the 91 minute, but we scored direct after kick off to equalize in the 92:nd!
Losing 0-1 to Macclesfield despite shooting 25 shots was horrible.

A convincing win against Woking puts us through to the 2nd round of the FA Trophy. Unfortunately our win came at a cost as our top scorer Nicholas Bignall was ruled out for 4 months through injury. Contemplating making a bid for Luton striker Stuart Fleetwood as his replacement.

Got our first league match out of the way which fortunately ended up with a win. It all looked bleak after going 1-0 down and the sending off of Al Bangura, however substitute James Norwood stole the show with 2 late goals to grab us the win.

Has Fowler done anything for us?

Bore draw against fellow play-off contenders Newport County. We got quite lucky as they had a goal disallowed in the final minute. Will be looking to improve the squad in January (which is in a few days time). We're really missing Bignall so a striker will be my main priority.

Only played 4 matches and no goals. I placed him in the reserves, not a fan tbh- way too slow.

Another bore draw, absolutely not good enough. Our defence is rock solid but nothing in attack, got a bid in for Stuart Fleetwood- just waiting for funds from player sales. This leaves us 9 points from the play off positions but we do have two games in hand.

A convincing win against bottom placed side Nuneaton. The defence kept up their streak of three matches without conceding whilst two second-half goals from Ben Wright grabbed the win for us. We have Bath next in the 2nd round of the FA Trophy, should win convincingly.

Only 10 days into January but I've already made 5 new signing, no more are expected. Summer signing Alan O'Brien, Reece Styche and Chris Stokes have all left the club on free transfers.

Alex Lawless


Talented centre midfielder who can also play in defence joins us from table-topping side Luton. Lawless has previously played for the club a few seasons back so knows the club well so should have no trouble adapting.

David Grof


Frenchman Grof joins the club as our new first choice goalkeeper. Got good attributes so should be a good acquisition, especially on a free transfer.

Dani Lopez


Spanish striker Lopez joins the side from League One team Stevenage. Got good all round attributes for a striker, especially at this level. Hopeful this guy can be the answer to our goalscoring troubles.

Noel Makombo-Eboma


One for the future. At only 16 years of age he looks promising, will go straight into the under 18 squad.

Stuart Fleetwood


Finally got the man who I believe will truly fire us towards promotion. Fleetwood is a prolific goalscorer at this level and has been at the club previously before his big money move to Charlton a few seasons ago. Got extremely high hopes for this guy.

Through to the 4th round of the FA Trophy after an under-strength side beat Bath. Dani Lopez scored on his debut and Ben Wright kept up his impressive goalscoring form.

Good win away against Woking to keep us in contention for the play-offs. Fleetwood bagged on his debut and also got man of the match, McGeouch and Lopez got the other goals to grab us a vital win.

I'm even more amazed that you have brought in some good players.

Disappointing result. Went two up thanks to two goals from Fleetwood but completely fell apart after that.

Done one month and the table is currently...

Well earned draw against fellow play off contenders Hereford. Could of snatched it at the end too but Fleetwood's 89th minute goal was ruled out. Luton up next in the FA Trophy 4th round.

Knocked out of the FA Trophy in the quarter finals- it's a shame but now this can put our main focus on the league.

Very good win against a strong Newport side who are currently one point ahead of us. Ben Wright kept up his brilliant form and seems to be forming a great partnership with Fleetwood.

Brilliant win against 6th placed Wrexham. Ben Wright grabbed another goal for us and Klukowski scored from the penalty spot. 4 points off play offs now with 2 games in hand.

Poor result to end our good run.

Lookning good, except for the last result. Signings are looking fine as well, though Grof seems to Hungarian, rather than French.
