Hi all,
In addition to the data update that is available here on Sortitoutsi, I'd like to propose a new wonderkid database, including talents from all around the world that are not included in the upcoming FM version.
On Transfermarkt, a lot of information can be found about players from certain clubs that will likely not make it in FM due to their age. Does anyone know what the exact end date for inclusion will be? From 1/7/2005 onwards or from releaseday FM but then year 2005 onwards?
Two examples:
Rayane Bounida (2006) https://www.transfermarkt.nl/rayane-bounida/profil/spieler/598491
Shaqueel van Persie (2006) https://www.transfermarkt.nl/shaqueel-van-persie/profil/spieler/517811
and complete clubs could be added as well: https://www.transfermarkt.nl/ajax-amsterdam-jugend/startseite/verein/32791
If you could give me as much information about a player, that would be great (name, date/place of birth, nationalities, club, length, position, skills, potential (rough), favorite clubs and people, picture of how they look, …). I see a lot of information is missing in other databases, for example that Shaqueel's dad is Robin van Persie and that he followed his education at Feyenoord.
Would you be interested in having such a database and/or would you like to participate and do some research? Which players or clubs would you like to see?
Last question: Can we start in FM2021 and import the FMF in FM 2022?
mons
@wfm18, the dates depend on the FM research team. I believe in most cases a player would need to be 16 by 31 August (for this year 2005) for him to be added to the official database.
As for your last question, in theory, yes - a file created with the FM21 editor should be usable in FM22. I've had data files for my Maltese database which I've been using since FM14. They needed some fiddling with before they could be used for some versions when SI do some tweaks behind the scenes, but I've been able to use them ever since then.

Awesome! Thanks so much on the info 🙂

as Mons says but remember to save the file using export to create a XML file[when ready to transfer file] if you are going to try to use the file in future versions of the game FM22 etc
you need to open the file in the new editor when it comes out and save it in that version of the DB to get it to load in any future versions and then it can be saved as a fmf file again😉
also be aware that in future versions many of your created ‘wonderkids’ will be added to the DB by SI so you will have duplicated players to look out for and have to remove to stop the clashes
