They also appear in pre and post match interviews.
People have asked me to upload some, so here you go.

HOW TO INSTALL.
Really it could not be easier.
1 DOWNLOAD
2 UNPACK WITH WINRAR
3 OPEN UP THE DOWNLOADED SPORTS INTERACTIVE FOLDER
4 PLACE THE SPORTS INTERACTIVE FOLDER YOU FIND ALONGSIDE THE INSTRUCTIONS INTO YOUR DOCUMENTS FOLDER (this will create the environments folder needed and install the DazS8 Default Press background)
5 TO CHANGE TO THE TEAM YOU WISH TO USE SIMPLY REPLACE THE TWO FOLDERS FOUND IN THE ENVIROMENTS FOLDER WITH THE SAME TWO FOLDERS FROM THE TEAM OF YOUR CHOICE.

As of now they dont work in FM22,
I have Covid at the moment so as you can imagine I have no plans to update or even make these again for FM22

No they wont work.
They have changed the whole file system as far as I can see and I have no idea how to open the files needed…..maybe someone can help me with this

There's a file named sponsor_boards_[al].dds in the simatchviewer-pc.fmf package in …\Football Manager 2022\data\ (game folder)
I used the resource archiver program to extract the contents of simatchviewer.fmf and the location of the forementioned file (inside the extracted folder) is: \simatchviewer-pc\art\environments\shared_textures\default_interiors\
Hope this info helps you locate what you need to customize the Press Backgrounds the same way as for FM21. It seems they've indeed moved files and folder structures around, but fingers crossed, the Press Conference and Interview Backgrounds can be changed again, with only small adjustments.
EDIT:
Also, the fact that the more realistic pitch texture pack made by Fez works in FM22 suggests that we're onto something here.
And, furthermore, its files need to be copied to USER\Documents\\sports interactive\Football Manager 2022\art\shared_textures\ !!! Last year the same pack only needed to be copied to USER\Documents\\sports interactive\Football Manager 2021\textures\

Have you tried placing last years press conference and interview boards in this folder (art\shared_textures\) ? I think daz did try this and it didn't work …………..
I would be interested to know. I am away from my laptop for a bit so unable to try this out myself.

I've made a sponsor board (sponsor_boards_[al].dds) for the club I'm starting a save with (Dundee), and placed it into the extracted …\Football Manager 2022\data\simatchviewer-pc\environments\shared textures\default_interiors\ and we'll see how it works… when I have time to play FM.

I’m really sorry to sound thick, but I’ve put the environments folder in my usual graphics folder, but nothing shows up. Please don’t flame me, but I just can’t get them to show up. What simple stage am I missing?

Actually, I didn't open the original picture. I simply made a new sponsor board the same size (1024x1024) in Paint.net and saved it as .dds. Then I backed up the original file and placed my own there, after naming it sponsor_boards_[al].dds.
I've yet to try it in a press conference/interview scene, but will do so soon…

I tested a Presser and my background board with the sponsor logos did not appear. Back to the drawing board it is. 😢

i think we must open the orginal file and edit it to get it work. But i can`t open it with photoshop so far.

I had no trouble opening the file using GIMP. Will check, whether I can modify it and it will be shown soon. I'm not sure, if it is the right file though because it contains Logos of Screwsbury and the football League 1

i don't use it but i have manged to get Trophy podiums working in the art\environments folder
this is how it is in the simatchviewer-pc folder
