So basically you have edited them to be much better than real life, where they are a mid / lower table side that never won anything?

I have uploaded a realistic data file called FM21 Realistic Newcastle United (by nealwillo), which has an accurate reflection on the current status of the team, and the unfortunate struggles we are facing at the moment, so yes that file reflects a mid/lower table side that have not "never", but not won anything in a long, long time. This Consortium file is a scenario for players who want to build a team up with huge finances, and eventually challenge for the title (based on a authentic takeover attempt that didn't go through and is still currently being fought for). Can’t see any Saudi takeover, it needs local money men like John hall, unfortunately the PL has moved on too much, and is out of reach of most successful businessmen.

My team, Leeds, has seen enough shysters trying to make a quick buck, luckily now we have Italian money in a JV with the 49ers, for the first time in 20 years we are seeing stability, with major investment in the academy and facilities.

Well, the positive news is that he is fighting tooth and nail to sell the club, so hopefully his tenure will end soon, and we can get on track with a more ambitious approach, we just want to compete and have a go in the cups, much like Leeds have set up! Now there is another big club, with a fantastic fan base, I'm a big fan of Leeds, it's a travesty how the club has been allowed to perish over the years! I'm buzzing over Bielsa ball though! Things are looking up for ya!

You're spot on about the PL moving on financially... Although, I think we are still in with chance of a revived takeover, that's the talk of the town, although a potential pipe-dream!

Hope it works out for you, It’s a shame how the north east clubs have struggled, I have family that are both Newcastle and Sunderland fans, now there is a rivalry, but with mutual appreciation.

Leeds are an interesting proposition in FM, do you try and stay in the league, push for top half or develop the strong academy?

An interersting scenario file would be where would Leeds have been without the financial meltdown, we were on the cusp of greatness, viduka, smith, kewell, wood gate, Harte, dacourt etc-all sold off. Could have been the start of big things

Yeah fingers crossed mate! Of course, I wouldn't wish a struggle on any club to be honest! I loved having a premier league rivalry with Sunderland, and it being a tough match! Been a long time since we've shared a division!

Hopefully, whoever takes us over, will invest in the city and the club, local talent etc. Here's hoping!

Ah! Yeah, I think Leeds could easily emulate Wolves, Everton, and Leicester in the next few years! I love the style of play, the last few results for you guys has been quite bizarre! Big shock from Crawley! In FM I'd deffo try and get in europe first season, can be done with the right tactics, if even slightly unrealistic! Concentrate on the academy and bring Haaland home! Would take a bit of finance though, and a decent reputation! (i feel an edit coming on, haha)!

That Leeds team was AWESOME! We stole Woodgate and Milner! Class players, loved em! We even had Viduka and Smith as time went on, under Allardyce! Big love for them players! My fav player was Lucas Radebe, and I've always had a soft spot for Brian Deane, when he joined you in, was it 2005 or 2006 in the champ?

We need to tighten the defence, our 3 first choice CB’s have been out for weeks, Koch, Lorente and Cooper, playing full backs there is only option we have, we also miss Phillips when not available.

Would love to see Milner back for 1 last season, he could still do a job, Haaland watches our games, often tweets to the players, his dad was a player.

Lucas was a legend, met him a few times, such a nice guy.

Brian Deane was 93-98 in PL (scored first ever PL goal, but for Sheffield Utd, he came back in 05 for a season in desperate times.

Asprilla was a great player for the Toon, we had him on trial before we sign Brolin 😕

Just open the file in the editor and remove the transfer

Don’t mind Newcastle, bit like my Leeds, massive potential, great fans etc, but can’t understand why the government has said they won’t publish the reasons for allowing the takeover at risk of upsetting the Saudi government.

 

and Stavely is one of the fittest owners so fair play

It’s a story that will run, it’s not fair on the fans, I went through the Ken Bates days so have some sympathy with the geordies

modern football is just uber corporate avarice and there is no moral compass,  but that conversation is not on topic here

I am a lifetime fan fan since the day my favorite player all time of my club

moved to st james park called (the prince)

 

also met a lot of fans of NUFC at Gent many years ago in the uefa cup,

 

and have a friend who supports newcastle!

Sir now that the takeover has actually happenned could you maybe make a more realistic one . remove mbappe for instance. and reduce the budget kindly . i would love to build newcastle but i would love to do what eddie howe is doing . mbappe wont come now . i would prefer a challenge .

You can edit the file yourself using the pre-game editor.

 

In there edit the finances and remove Mbappe's future transfer.
