Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too π
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

My WinRAR is saying it's going to take 9 hours to extract the faces into the FM22 Graphics folder.
Is that normal, or is it just that my PC is that old!
Thanks for the pack btw!

Have a look at point 11 of the FAQ in the first post π

You did that reading thing⦠very clever.
Thanks!!

the attached image is with indexed color and as expected it looks like this:
Footygamer
Sorry @Qvordrup I messed up and somehow uploaded the Rashford image when I was meant to attach the one that was in the post, I just assigned it to Rashford's ID so it would appear for sure in FM16.
Can you try this attached image.
This image is significant because it's exactly as it was uploaded by @P-Jo and nothing to do with our compression. It may be that the way some users are saving the image initially is causing this.
Qvordrup
This picture is RGB color and as excepted it works just fine
I think you are right in assuming that it (for normal faces) has noting to do with the compression of the pack and that people for some reason just upload pictures in indexed color π
Footygamer
Sorry again, i've got confused and thought you said in this comment that 2001040995 (that image) was indexed colour and had the issue but you seem to be saying it's RGB now.
I still don't really understand the problem to be honest so i'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to resolve it, if at all.
Qvordrup
Sorry for the confusion, but this is what it is in the comment:
"I've come across another problem: some of the iconfaces that are indexed color have also lost there transparency.
some examples: 2002040995, 2001040995, 2000147332 (I've no idea of how big this problem is, as I have only done a small sample)"
So the problem with β2002040995β is NOT the normal face that is RGB color, but the iconface that is indexed color and have lost its transparency.
So a lot has got RGB color for normal face, and indexed color for iconface.
This is the comment where I've looked after indexed color for normal faces : https://sortitoutsi.net/comments/get/665656
Qvordrup
@Footygamer just to let you know how I look and see if a picture is indexed color or RGB color :
bakizp
@Qvordrup you don't even need to browse the menus,if image is with indexed color, layer will be named Index.

I'd missed this earlier, being as it was posted in a new thread, so I've moved it here.
Have a look at the FAQs in the first post. If they don't help, upload screenshots of the location you placed the downloaded files, showing clearly (a) the full path and (b) the amount of images included in the faces folder π

Whats happening with the search function? For example if I search up βBayer Leverkusenβ, the Reading FC manager pops up instead of the team. ItΒ΄s like that with a lot of other teams awell, Lazio, Sevilla etc.
mons
Everything's working perfectly fine at my end. Can you take a screenshot of what you mean? What pages/sections are you seeing this one?
hulken
Bayer Leverkusen comes up, but ones I click in the Reading manager is the one that pops up.
See pics
hulken
The same goes for Sevilla:
mons
Ah I see now.
Both entries have the same UID in the FM database, albeit for different categories. In cases like this, the forum search defaults to displaying the timeline of the player with that UID. In instances like this, if you want to see the team's cut-outs, use the site's search tool and click on cut-outs.
hulken
That makes sense. Thanks for the help

I'd actually seen it before you edited it, but didn't get the time to actually reply! I'm assuming you sorted it out then π

Hi!
I wanted to add Angelo's face, so I did the same I had been doing in every FM before.
I saved the sortitoutsi file with his id number (2000055284) in the pictures folder and edited the config file to match.
In blue the change I made, as usual.
Problem is in the config file the numbers don't match and I ended up with Angelo being 70.
Does anyone know what to do?
Thanks!
mons
@willyfk Remove what you added to the config file, it's not correct.
The code starts with
<record from=, not finishes with itweeniehutjr
You've pasted the code for Angelo's config in the middle of the config for whoever has the UID 0, and the game reads the red block and the blue block as separate config entries.
Replace those two parts with the following:

i have all the faces downloaded for a while now and notice hansi flick face image doesnt work on either my laptop or pc, i was wondering if there is a fix for it?
mons
It's not actually an issue with the megapack but a licensing issue. Read point 3 of the FAQ on the licensing fix file for more info and a potential solution.

Much appreciated

Despite being in the Megapack, photos of a few players such as Zalazar and Reus are not visible. What is this due to?
mons
I'll have a look, but it would help if you gave me the UIDs of the players. There are many Zalazars and Reuses in the database after all π
