Signed this bloke because we are dangerously low on left backs. Think that will be my only signing though we look pretty strong.
We've drawn Shrewsbury in the League Cup. Should be an interesting tie.

Fucking hell, really wanted to manage him.
mr.SPANKY
Should help with the finances a bit.

My first match in League 1 was away to Birmingham, not the easiest start. But we looked calm and composed all the game, playing an easy counter attack straight 4-4-2 kind of football.
We hit the bar twice before Malbon could score in the 83:rd minute in his debut for Forest Green.

Despite only having a 38 % ball possession, we manage to steal a win away at Barnsley. Holman came off the bench and scored in the 89:th minute.
And once again 1-1, my new favourite result. This match we should have won, though.
itchycoo
Well beaten by 6:th placed Chesterfield. We did hit the woodwork three times, but that had been too much to ask for a point in this match.
Hugh Maguires early goal was enough to secure a victory at home against Walsall. This kid's gonna go far.
Next we faced league leaders Bradford and it was time for The Kluk to enter the stage. One goal and one assist in the last minutes of the game lead us to a fantastic win. And...
itchycoo
2-0 down at half time we did some changes. Most important: Send in the Kluk. 5 minutes later he has scored one, and served Kissock an open goal to tie this. However only one minute later McAleny scored the winner for the wrong Rovers.
Yan the Man. Such a reliable player! Big result against Middlesbrough.
That was my first month. 10 games, it's good to have a big squad sometimes...
I will finish this tomorrow.

There was only one positive note on this match:
Maguire had a great game against bottom placed Notts County. The second goal was a header from a Beckham freekick. His freekick attribute has actually improved since joining Forest Green (according to the green arrow).

One could think so. But maybe Zlatan didn't let him take any freekicks in Paris...

Every point is good...
Every loss is bad.

Robbed by the ref.
Sending this on to Cymro now.

Last gasp penalty in extra time meant we were heading into the 2nd Round. In reality it was a game that we should never have won. They were all over us.
Cymro
A game we should have won. We had the line share of possession and chances on goal. Sadly it was not to be.
Cymro
Massive win away from home. It was a game were we soaked up pressure but when we attacked we made it uncomfortable as anything for Stevenage.
Cymro
A decent signing for the club. Marvin has played at a good level of football and his experience in the midfield will be valuable.
Cymro
Holman is an absolute monster. Clinical finishing from him gave us a most valuable three points.
Cymro
Love a replay does the Green Army. Feeling we could steal this when we play them at home.
Big game at home to follow if we can put away Yeovil.

Monster win against a very strong Coventry City outfit. Beckham was another class and was a real factor in the win. Tackling, passing and finishing was crucial from the ex-England man. Youngster Maguire was sensational also picking up the match ball.
Cymro
A good victory that will see English Premier League giants Manchester City head to The New Lawn. The game was a real bore, with Yeovil attempting to play possession football and playing very deep. Pantsil got us the victory, but in reality it was a very dull game.

So here how the table looks after my first month in charge.
In a perilous position. Win a few then we could be in the play offs, lose a few could be near / in the relegation zone. All to play for.
Cymro
A bore draw against a struggling Preston side.
Cymro
Went 1-0 down to Colchester's danger man despite playing some good football. Step up young hot shot Maguire who really at the time pulled it back. We were all over them but couldn't finish the game.
itchycoo
The defence is still looking solid.
