For a third year running the beast that is the British Steel returns to the challenge section for all of you that want to challenge yourself within the British Isles.
So what is the challenge: You have to win every trophy from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland in any order you want. However you must only use British and Irish players!
With no on conquering this challenge over the last two years its proved to not be as easy as some people assume and we welcome every challenger to try and be the first!
The challenge is made a little easier by counting promotion from finishing second in the league, or via the playoffs as the title but this is your choice. Any success in Europe or with the national teams are just an added note on your history but won't count towards this challenge.
Below is a screenshot and I will add everyone who takes part to the challenge leaderboard and add your story so people can follow it easily. Once you've won a trophy be it league or cup, I will need to see a screenshot for it to count.
Rules:
- Only use British and Irish players
- Must start with Sunday League Reputation
- You may start at a club or start unemployed, your choice
- You MUST send me a screenshot of each trophy won for it to count

As I tried to pass from 31st December 2017 to 1st January 2018, the game crashed. Like this:
Tried the save game again. The same thing happened.
Loaded up my backup save. Played through two matches again to reach the same point. The same thing happened.
Seems my British Steel Challenge is dead.

I started up my Rangers game and spent time doing the usual assessment of my squad...trying to find transfer targets etc. etc. Eventually I'd progressed a few weeks through the pre-season, brought in 3 or 4 new players and was just about to gear up for my first friendly match against Dynamo Kyiv when BOOM, crash dump.
I could hardly believe this so began to wonder if there were potential compatibility issues between FM13 and my new Windows 8 laptop. Googling such things elicited no obvious pitfalls for Windows 8 but I did come across the concept of Steam's "Verify integrity of game cache" button, which was new to me.
It took a few minutes to run and it came up with 6 unverifiable files, which were reintegrated (or something). Curious, I loaded up my previous Notts County BSC game and tried once again to run past December 31st.
...January 1st, here I am.
On the one hand, yay. On the other hand, I was just getting into the Rangers deal. :/

Heh, thanks Cyrmo. They were the only Welsh team open when I wanted to make the move. Glad to give them the glory in a short amount of time, while helping myself in this challenge as well.
Anyways, took two weeks (4 in game years), but finally achieved trophy #19: the Capital One Cup with Derby.

Good on, dude. You're certainly keeping me interested in my save, so keep it up!

It's going to be a shame to resign from the club with the Champions League on offer... I'll keep a copy of the save on the side though.
Maybe Wales next?
Edit: Guess not... Instead, Ross County it is.

Yes, good luck!

First year in Havant was great, we conquered Blue Square Bet South easily.
Season 2013-2014 started with lots of troubles, as i had no trasnfer or wage budget available to spent. I resigned at November 2013, leaving Havant struggling at 19th positiong.
I quickly found my new team though, as Dundalk offered to hire me, as they relegated to Airtricity First Division. Tbh, i didnt expect a such a good team to relegate, so getting a promotion would be piece of cake.
So far, its season 2016, and i have managed to get Dundalk safe from relegation, hoping for a mid table finish or above.

I'm 56 in 2043, and about to hit trophy #23. Now that I finally got to Scotland, I should rack those up fairly quick. I still need to go back to NI and England for the remaining 6 after that.

Young whipper snapper
I'm 65 in 2047 nearly 66.
I have 5 in England, 1 in Scotland, 1 in Northern Ireland, 1 in Ireland left to go
I noticed though I have done mine a bit different.
I won the Setanta Sports Cup with both Irish and Northern Irish team.

I noticed the bolded part after going through your thread. I think that certainly lengthens the challenge, but in the end isn't really necessary in my eyes (and possibly Rick's when he made it) since it is the same cup won twice.
