Wonder when people will start to say him deciding not to appeal is a PR stunt as well..

Fuck off

Suarez put out a good statement about the appeal (or lack thereof)

Liverpool's Luis Suarez has issued the following statement after accepting a 10-game ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic.

"I am truly sorry about the incident," said Suarez. "I hope all the people I have offended will grant me forgiveness and I again repeat my personal apology to Branislav.

"I know the things that are happening to me in England will help me to improve my conduct on the field. Right now, I just want to focus on becoming a better footballer on and off the field.

"I would like to explain to everybody that I decided to accept the ban because, while 10 games is clearly greater than those bans given in past cases where people have been seriously injured, I acknowledge my actions were not acceptable on the football pitch so I do not want to give the wrong impression by making an appeal.

"I really want to learn from what has happened in the last two-and-half years. Many things have been said and written about me, I just tried to do my best on the field. I hope to come back early to play."

Makes a good change from what the club and Rodgers have said recently, this should have been the way it was treated all along

So after all that talk of the ban being unfair, harsh and disgraceful, Suarez decides not to appeal

Which is exactly what the bunch of morons did with the racism ban as well.

I really don't understand it, if they'd find Suarez and then accepted the FA ban with Suarez releasing that statement people would be talking about how well Liverpool dealt with it as a club. Instead they did those 2 things, spent a day or two going absolutely full retard and look stupid again because of it.

This Liverpool bashing and all this PR bullshit is getting really boring tbf.

Awwww.

A good statement from Suarez after accepting the ban, and agreeing with Slashman far better than the shit Rodgers was saying.

Yeah fuck RVP for leaving to win trophies and winning the league in his first season at a new club, what an idiot he is.

I really don't see it, I'd even defend him if he left you to join City.

If I was an Arsenal fan I'd be seething at the board and Wenger, not players that have waited around years and won fuck all. I think we all understand Fabregas leaving, but would the likes of Nasri, RVP, Clichy etc... really feel the need to leave if Arsenal was even remotely looking like a club that was going to fulfill their dreams.

It's the way he orchestrated his own departure, that he forced Wenger's hand, which is what pisses me off most.

It's not like we didn't try to meet his ambitions, we got Cazorla, Podolski and not-Chamakh and spent a fair amount of cash, showed that we do have ambition.
Sure, we probably wouldn't have won the title anyway, but could he have had more faith in Wenger to improve this team? Of course he could, just as Wenger put his faith in him through those injury problems.

If there's anything I could blame Wenger for it's not forcing Van Persie to run down his contract.

Out of interest, would you feel the same way about Fabregas? He did the same thing and, arguably, put Arsenal in a worse position.

Yes, obviously his injury problems complicated things, but he spent a massive amount of his career at a club that showed very little ambition until a season where he had obviously already decided to leave.

It's all very well saying 'we signed X,Y and Z' last season',, but you didn't sign X,Y,Z the season before that, or before that or before that. Or when you stopped being a force.

I find it hard to criticize any player that's left Arsenal, they've all gone on to bigger clubs, and they've all won trophies. Fair enough some of this is down to having your hands tied behind your back by the new stadium, but you've stopped being a rival to the big clubs, you can't begrudge those players leaving to chase trophies when you've shown no ambition to do so.

I think Arsenal fans could empathise with his desire to return to his 1st club, where the friends he's known there are winning title after title.
And he's shown gratitude to Wenger and the fans in subsequent interviews after his departure, and - say what you will about that (damage limitation, PR stunt, etc.) - the club will welcome him back with open arms.
