It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.
Extracting the file will take a while, but it shouldn't take the hours and hours that the program extracting will sometimes say it will. To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

I have a fair few faces missing. I downloaded the mega pack. I’ve also downloaded an update. Just certain players have no face
for example most of the barcelona u 19 players have no face

Every single Barca B player has a cut-out. You either haven't installed the full megapack (including the updates) or you haven't installed it correctly.
Please help us to help you by providing us with screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder.

That would seem to indicate you have the full megapack in there.
It's either the case you have some other facepacks installed which are interfering with this pack, or you need to have the preferences like the below:

I've downloaded update packs but once loaded a lot of faces have disappeared and some that used to have a silhouette no longer even have a silhouette, very strange. Any tips on how to fix?

Seems like that single file didn't upload correctly. You can download it yourself from here, and it'll be replaced properly in 2023.10.

Did you ever fix this? I had this problem when trying to add a facepack to Regens. I found a second .xml file that was conflicting with the one assigning faces to each player. Essentially assigning a player two different faces. As it conflicted, the game just added neither. If you are still haveing problems, have a look and see if that is your issue.

Same happened to me. Just got FM23 > moved my facepack folder from FM21 to FM23 > did the reload skin tick/untick to check if it works > it did. Proceed to download update packs. Keep reloading skin after each update and everything was fine. Then when I got to FM22 latest updates pack, players stopped displaying images.
Reading the FAQ, it says there's a problem with FM22 torrent, but I didn't download the megapack. Just the smaller latest changes updates.
Everything else is working in my graphics folder for FM23 (kits, logos, trophies). The facepack seems to have a problem with the FM22 update.
So far, I managed to find one player who still have his image (so its not folder location problem). Anyway to fix this short of downloading the FM23 megapack?
Just a shame if I have to delete my current folder, been adding to it with latest changes updates since 2018 😢

I really like to use some brazilian players, even bc im from there, but i have a big problem, i dont have a config file in my cut out, so i cant add other faces than the original ones, i tried fmxml but without success, if someone can help me to solve this, i would be grateful

The FM22 update packs worked perfectly well in FM22 and also in FM23, so it's not something to do with them, but most probably somehow with how (and where) you installed them.
Can you please provide us with screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder? Do you get a blank space where the cut-out used to be, or do you get the black default image? The answer will help me determine the cause of your issue.
If you want to create a config file, follow the steps in this thread. It's a 2-second job with fmXML…
The megapack only contains cut-outs of players in the default official database. If a player isn't in the default official database, we don't cut his image.

I downloaded a couple of the update files but the faces are still from last season. What update file do I have to download specifically in order to have the faces from this current season? Thank you

It doesn't work like that. Images are continually getting added, that's why we have update packs. You can use the browse function to check the deadline of an individual team or player. It might also be the case that some players haven't been updated this season because no good sources are available for them.

Is there a way to download the facepack in a country based form?
I'm playing with just South American and European teams, so I don't really need anything else.
Also, just opening the 10GB rar file makes my PC wish for death.
