sortitoutsi Background and Stadium Packs
The Backgrounds Megapack was originally made up of aerial shots of stadiums taken from Google Maps and Google Earth, but is now also containing Competitions, Player and Fan Backgrounds, as well as beautiful City Images.

I'm not sure the stadium is in the default database. Please provide id number and I will have a look 😀👍
Qvordrup
The stadium has both inside and background picture : https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/browse/17/1177117/timeline
The stadium has the id=1053 and if that is not the case in your game it is because you play with a costume database that has altered the stadium somehow 👍

Hi there, if wanting to add my own images to the stadium pack, what dimensions should they be for inside the stadium and then the background?
Thank you in advance
Qvordrup
If you have great pictures then why not contribute to the packs? : https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/submissions/17
We use 1920x1080 and 1600x900 for stadium backgrounds and 1200x720 and 800x480 for inside stadiums 👍
So the important thing is to keep the ratio between width and height… other wise you can put in what ever size you want.. obviously the langer size source picture you use the better quality (upscaling wont help on quality so downscaling to the nearest size that fit the ratio/dimensions is to be preferred). We also only use .jpg's because the are way smaller in size (on harddrive) than .png's. My recommendation would be to use only one type of pictures as you could end up with multiple pictures for same stadium as files with different file extensions don't overwrite each other when put in the same folder even though they have the same name. You can easily convert any files to jpg's online.
Take a look at this for configs: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/60493/how-to-use-a-specific-part-of-the-megapack#comment_651352

Oh I'd love to contribute. Thank you for the info 🙂

Hi, as far as I'm aware everything is configured correctly but I never actually see the stadium in the background, is this only displayed when you got to a certain section in your club? I see the fans all the time, I'd rather the stadium be shown! Any ideas? Even if I click on a club it shows the town/city pic as the background.
Qvordrup
The reason is that they have the same config entry and are therefore shown in the same place, meaning that you cant have both (fans and stadium) 👍 So remove the team fans folder, reload the skin or restart your game, and you will have the stadium backgrounds shown if one is available in the pack 😀
Qvordrup
Perfect 👍 read this for info on how to contribute 😀: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/57340/tutorials-and-guidelines-for-contributors

Hi. How do I install the updates? For example, should I copy the stadium_backgrounds and stadium_insides of each update starting with the oldest into the folders with the same name in sortitoutsi Stadium Backgrounds 2023.08 and overwrite the files when asked each time?
Qvordrup
Yes exactly 👍 But do note that when you have downloaded the full file (2023.08) you are up to date until that point and only need to download and install updates later than 2023.08 😀
Shark104
Ok. Thanks a lot!

Hello, could anyone tell me how I could remove the background in this photo but still have the city and stadium photo intact?
Agbama Ebepeh
I was told i will get this view if i download the Stadium pack
Staduim background not showing after downloading and extracting correctly
Qvordrup
Well the picture of “Etihad” has been updated since that picture was in the pack :
https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/browse/17/1184350/timeline
This is how it looks with the “flut dark skin”.
Delete what you have and Download with chrome so you can resume any interruptions in your download, so you are sure to get the full file, and follow the instructions in the video:
Qvordrup
I'm not really sure if what you are asking is possibly 🤷♂️
Try to push the button in the blue circle and see if you can not choose another background or make the background darker so you can read the text better:

Hi @Footygamer I just wanted to make sure the background browsing system and the site database for stadiums is up to date? I can't seem to find the “alphamega stadium” anywhere? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alphamega_Stadium
Perhaps it is not in the game yet?
El Borrador
If you use latest updates from pr0 or daveincid in 23.4 it should be? At least it's showing up on the different Limassols team pages just without any pictures.
Footygamer
I can see a specific bug where that one wouldn't have imported. Possibly a few others. I'll look into recovering them this week.
Footygamer
That and 103 other stadiums are in now.
It doesn't seem to be attached to any clubs though. Tsireio is still set as the stadium. I can't access the FM23 editor right now to check what that's about.
I've also fixed it so that stadiums showed on all clubs when they're shared.
Qvordrup
Sounds great 👍Perhaps I'm a little daft, but I still can't find the “Alphamega Stadium” using the search function 🤷♂️
Could you provide with the stadium id, so I can add inside and stadium background pictures 🙂
Footygamer
Ah I forgot we use a 3rd party search now and the index needed to be rebuilt. Should be working now.
Qvordrup
@Footygamer I stumbled upon that two packs a set as “drafts” I can't moderate them in any way 🤷♂️
https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/submissions/collection/35979
It is bye the way the same if you search for drafts in the “cut out” submissions system 👍
Footygamer
That makes sense since they're “drafts” which generally means the user hasn't finished uploading.
I'm not sure I want to allow mods to step in and edit drafts since you don't know under what circumstances they've been left in that state.
The user should have a big banner notifying them that they have pending drafts and prompting them to finish them like this:
I guess what we should have is the auto deletion of old drafts or allow moderators to touch them if they've been abandoned for a while.
But for now the best thing would be to PM the person and ask what issue they're having and why they've been left as drafts.
In this case it looks like the user just did a triple upload (probably spamming the submit button) as you can see a finished one here
If the user clicked on the draft they should just be able to delete them with a big “Delete All” button. I'm not sure why they haven't, either lazyness or too scared to click the button?
Qvordrup
Well a auto delete system after a appropriate amount of time would be perfect 👍
In this case he/she made three attempts to upload one pack as you have noticed.
So I don't think he/she has any intentions of doing anything about the the two drafts packs, as they are with high probability just seen as failed uploads 🙂
Footygamer
A PM to tell them they can delete them may suffice then.
I've changed the drafts message to say "You've uploaded packs that have not been fully submitted yet! Click on them to finish them, or there's a handy "Delete All" button which will get rid of this message."
I'll look into auto deletion

@Qvordrup @Footygamer Is it possible and/or do you think it could be a good idea to maybe have this type of visualization in the background pages?
I understand that it may appear as a "personal request", but now with the images of the fans you don't see that of the city, which in my opinion should be a priority. I personally (at the moment) have no idea where the images of the fans are displayed in the game. I use the flut skin, but in any case I probably wouldn't use them to have more Gb available 😅
Another reason, indeed, I think the most important is that in minor leagues, as in this example .. (fourth or fifth level in Sweden)
you no longer see images of the cities waiting for those of the fans to be loaded. But as you can well imagine in some championships there aren't even images of the city, let alone if we find images of the fans 😆
The advantage that I think we can get is to view the two preview images (City and fans) in order to immediately see what is missing, without having to open every single page to see what is there.
Footygamer
Yep totally agree, the point of the page is to give an overview so if it's not giving a full overview it's not working 😀
I'll look into it soon.

Hey guys!
Recently I uploaded a couple of pics for stadiums inside, some got marked as “Completed“, one got marked as “Active”
What’s the difference?
Thanks 🙂
Qvordrup
Completed means that the submission has been dealt with and there is nothing wrong with the submission, it is just not considered a improvement on what is already in the pack. Active means that the submission has been dealt with and is considered a improvement on what is already there and is in the pack by next update. Rejected means that something is wrong with the submission.
