It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.
Extracting the file will take a while, but it shouldn't take the hours and hours that the program extracting will sometimes say it will. To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

I am using the free download option. I downloaded the 9gb base file. Do I have to download every update file after that or just the latest?

I downloaded all update packs and the main file however for example KRC Genk only has 3 players in their main team with a picture is that normal? I thought the megapack would add nearly all available faces and the belgian league is not that small of a league

Genk has 75 players with cut-outs in the megapack. Looks like you didn't install the megapack correctly.
Can we have screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder?

These do not seem to be the same place, since the first one has graphics / Faces and the second one has graphics / Players. Which is the correct one?
Also, I'd suggest having the folder names in lower case, not starting with a capital letter.

ah sorry i changed the folders. both icon faces and faces are in the Players folder. I will change them to lowercase

First of all, I'm sorry if this has been answered before, or in the FAQs, I have looked but can't find the answer I'm looking for.
I have downloaded and installed the cut-out face pack and all is good. However, there were a few faces missing, so I downloaded some further face packs using the ‘browse’ function.
So I now have another unzipped folder containing some further faces, but I'm not sure where I need to put these. I've tried putting into the graphics folder and they didnt show up in the game when reloading the skin, I've also put them into the ‘faces’ folder and again they didn't show up.
What am I doing wrong?

Since posting this, I can see you download some other update packs, which presumably include the images you were missing. Are you fine now?
If not, check this thread. Adding the images is not enough, you need to edit the config file for the game to be able to assign the right image to the right person.

Yeah, I downloaded the updates which replaced the missing faces. I think I was being thick and trying to do it myself when i didn't need to.

I am hoping someone can help.
I had to reinstall windows last week which wiped the whole computer along with my face pack download, I have re-downloaded the facepack and it seems to have worked but there seems to be a lot of players that now just have a black box where there face should appear, I am unable to view the whole of the Brazil, Belgium & Argentina player faces.
I've unticked the cache and re-loaded skin but I cant seem to get them to work.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this as its driving me a little nuts haha

Thanks, I managed to sort it in the end.
I uninstalled the game and deleted everything from my documents and just redownloaded it all. A bit time consuming but least its sorted.

Yes, and it's been the case for almost 2 years now, actually. It was the only way to avoid having the filesizes of the full megapack and the update packs be so large as to deter people from downloading them.
That's not how this forum works. Collect the images yourself for requesting a pack, making sure to follow the guidelines and request them on the submissions forum. Those images are no good to cut, though, frankly, as they're not the largest, so they won't result in improvements.

I've got a new PC and already have the main Pack and the updates which I copied over from my old PC, however, due to the New PC and no downloads folder I can't see what month my last downloaded update was. Is there anyway of telling? I've looked in my account here and seen my last update was 8 months ago but that wasn't even a facepack. I've looked in the config but that doesnt have any kind of date to it, but properties says 30th May 2023, Is this likely to be accurate?

The download update pack page, available from the above link, will tell you what was the last update pack that you downloaded. Or you too could wait a few days and download the 2024 torrent when it's released, and save yourself a lot of faffing about 😉
