sometimes it helps if you double the (hexagon-pattern-)layer, it gets stronger again
I hate such kits 😀 best you can do is to recreate this by your ownjust my two pence: I would create three layers for each color and put a hexagon pattern on top, you can count the hexagons to paint them right (did something relatable once)

There is no editor file. In recent years there was a separate file from hammer.
SS kits and 3D kits (you called them match kits) are different kind of graphics. You need to download the 3D kits of the season aswell.
