It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

Added to the above, and another reason I think it might be a file path issue is that I get the following error message when I start the game (though it then starts fine)

If that doesn't help, it'd be great if you could provide screenshots of your megapack folder, showing clearly the full path it’s located in as well as how many images are in that folder.

The pack shows 442,157 items and as you can see the config file is there too…
File path is as shown below

I can't get any graphics packs to show (logos, kits, faces etc.) which makes me think it's just not looking in the right place for the files - though how I've done that I've no idea!

@Gunbuster903, check in your preferences to see what the exact user data location is.
Go to the Preferences Menu, Select the Advanced option then in the drop-down menu on the right select General, then scroll down until you find the Location option that should look something like this:
The game should then display the file path to your current location, if you are unable to read the full location in the address bar then click the
Change Folder
option and that will allow you to view the full location path.

The default blank space, like I say it doesn't work for any graphics packs. I read elsewhere about setting up a new folder C: FM24 Data and putting the packs in there - going to try that next…

I've downloaded the entire facepack folder with my premium account but I'm missing a lot of photos. For example, Renan Lodi (ID 19259027), his number corresponds to a file in the folder, but there is no photo (file size 0 bytes).

Im having a strange issue where place faces are loading for their club but not on their national team profile. For example if i look at Liverpool and see Virgil van Dijk his face is their, but if i search netherlands and go to the national team profile his face isnt showing up as captain or if i click on his profile through the national team.
any suggestions>

Probably a real name fix will solve this. I believe you can't see dutch and french NT faces without it.

If it were just the one image, you could use the browse function to download it manually. But given it seems to be widespread, I would suggest you download the megapack again.
I'm at a loss. The only thing I can think of is that the images aren't in the One Drive Documents folder, but in the Documents folder on your hard drive.
Delete what you have, and download the torrent file.

That's the strange thing, I've downloaded it 3 times, and I have the impression that the missing images are random.
The first time it was missing the Brighton goalkeeper, for example, and the second time it was there.

Seems like there's an issue with the latest changes file. Now I have the faces of newly added players (Nypan, Estevao…) but I've lost the rest. Well not lost, because they are in the folder, but they do not appear.

That's the amount of images in the base megapack folder, and not with the 2024.01 update pack installed. If the update pack is placed in a separate folder, as I suspect is the case, then the game will only show the images in the update folder and not for the whole remainder of the megapack.
Move the contents of the megapack folder into the folder of the above screenshot, overwriting when prompted, and you should be fine 👍

I seem to be having a really tough time extracting the cut out faces. The extraction has been running for 5 hours now on a fairly new PC with good specs (DDR5 etc) - almost tempted to say that it is running in circles!

It's a fairly big file, so it's to be expected that it takes a while, but it shouldn't take that long. Best not to have anything else running in the background as it'll take up system resources.

You enlightened me mate! Files were extracted to a different folder within the Football Manager one, so the game charged only the folder of the new faces. Moved them to the main graphics/face folder and it works perfectly.

How many files should be in the folder in total? think I'm at 520k (from properties)
only using 14% CPU and 30% Ram so PC has plenty of juice left to squeeze out

Sorry I know this has 100% been asked a thousand times but can;t see the answer anywhere - Can you keep all the faces already on FM at release, but add the ones in the facepack? For example, I'm playing as Wigan so the standard version of FM has the up to date faces already. I want to keep these but add all the faces from the megapack for people who don;t have faces already. Thanks

What program are you using to extract the files? Try Winrar.
There should be around 440k+ in the faces folder and same again in the iconfaces folder. Perhaps you could leave it to install overnight?
