fix for removing white and black text in match commentary bar

so FM 24 has this new feature were white and black text is used only in match commentary bar which completely ruins match experience for probably alot of FM players, especially us using only commentary in match. 

pre game editing wont solve this when changing in kits section for text and foreground colour, only background colour works properly when changed and match commentary bar will use your prefered colour for background but foreground text colour will always show either white or black in match commentary bar due this new feature. 

example Leeds White bg and Blue fg will show white and black in commentary 

Galatasaray     red bg yellow fg will show red bg and white fg  

Norwich yellow bg green fg will show yellow and black fg 

even teams like Milan red and black will show red and white and Arsenal red and white, shows red and black  

this makes no sense after playing the game for more than 20 years, flashing commentay when goals are scored feels not right for probably alot of teams

so any help to have the classical match commentary colouring in this would be very much appreciated, i have started thread about this in SI forum and while waiting for solution i thought i might as well bring it up here

I don't get what you're saying. The default setting is to show the commentary bar in team colours. You have to tick an option in the preferences to show in black and white.

You are right! West Ham's colours are claret and blue, but on the commentary bar, they are claret and white. The text is always white or black.

Bartrude, you are also right about the option to have black and white but the above issue does'nt make it black and white. It is just changing the secondary colour to black or white.

Just another example of SI producing an awful offering this year because they have been sloppy due to the fact that they are concentrating on next years changes and ‘upgrade’. We should have know this would be the case when they were talking about FM25 before FM24 had been released. God knows what a mess they will make of FM25!!

Yes! I manage Scunthorpe and they also have claret and light blue, changed it in pre game editor at least, but match commentary shows claret and white…and its a disaster for me

For FM 24 we only get correct foreground colour with a thin line around the bar in match commentary text, but the text itself and flashing of goals will always be either white or black text combined with correct background colour in match commentary 

Plain colours match commentary is unthicked

Strange these comments as my commentary shows team colour and I have not dicked around with settings etc
 

There wont be an issue in your image because both teams text are right. Ajax is white and Vitesse is black. Try playing as say Norwich which should be a yellow background with green text. It wont be. The text will be black or white.

So its nothing to do with match commentary then, I see your point

SI say they are aware of it but they are too busy to resolve it. Working on FM25 at a guess!!!!!

yes, match commentary.xml file looks identical to fm 22 and also fm colours.xml file…issue is a part of their new accesibility feature that depending on background colour contrast level the game gives either white or black text in match commentary, which is very brutal thing to do to thoes who have no problems reading the match commentary text with almost every colour combination. 

atleast they should do this optional and give us the right to do whatever colour combination we prefer in pre game editor

and its very frustrating to wait for SI and also not find the code of line where the white and black text is coded in

I asked a skin creator but he didn't know either. He gave a code suggestion in the .xml file but it didn't make any difference unfortunately. This seems like a hard one. Guess it's up to SI.. 😢 

I'm really starting to find it hard to even play the game at all now, really frustraiting.
