For future reference, however:
a) leave no more than 2-3 pixels of empty space above the head
b) using auto-contrast or adding brightness makes cuts look that little bit better
c) keep in mind that the face should be straight-on, rather than slanting or at angle; i.e. the eyes are ideally in a straight line and parallel to the top or bottom of the cut.
