I spent the evening in the presence of my two housemates and their respective girlfriends. I cracked wise, put on a smile and acted like I wasn't dying inside. It's become my routine.

Given that she lives around the corner from me and I see her every weekend it's not exactly pointless. Besides, we've been after each other for years. She's away in uni in England during the week while I'm away in Dundalk for work during the week

aye me and my girlfriend ended up going to different Uni's, we're still together though just requires a lot of weekend travelling. Long distance stuff is fine if you work hard enough at it. Pretty much finished my final year now though, so hopefully can move up to where she is for her last year

Me and my GF went to the same uni. Then we left and we both live at home in different towns. I'm doing my Masters still. Hoping to start my PhD in September and we'll move in together (so's the plan), if not it's indefinite long distance (and thus probably break up). Shite time to be in a relationship really.
