£6m seems a bit steep. He'd probably go for around a third of that fee if he wasn't English.

True. I think he'll do okay though, he looked decent at times for Liverpool.

Looking extremely likely that City are gonna sign Negredo for £21m. Not sure how I feel about that tbh

Molde have signed Man Utd youngster Mats Møller Dæhli on a 2,5 year contract, following the footsteps of Magnus Wolff Eikrem (now at Heerenveen). A bit surprising really seeing as he was awarded academy player of the year last season and touted as the next big thing here in Norway, but I guess he's stagnated a bit and sees playing at the highest level in Norway to be more beneficial for his development. Man Utd most likely have some buy back clause.

Personally, I'd be happy with the signing, £21m is a bit steep though. I much preferred the £18m fee that was floating about.

Aye, I'm unsure about the price we're paying more than the ability of Negredo.

Newcastle have been given permission to speak to Wigan striker Arouna Kone, according to the Press Association.

It is reported they may have to battle it out with Everton, with former Latics boss Roberto Martinez keen to take him to Goodison Park.

It is claimed the 29-year-old has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the DW Stadium in the wake of Wigan's relegation from the Premier League.

He looked good last season - would be a really good signing for us I think.

Manchester United sources have told ESPN a deal is “very close” for Thiago and could even be announced at David Moyes’ first press conference on Friday.

Please be true.

That Guardian are reporting that the Higuain deal is all but wrapped up. We've agreed a fee with Madrid and he's supposedly flying into London tonight.

Ambrosini has agreed a 1 year deal with Fiorentina. That makes much more sense than him going to West Ham and trying to adapt to a challenging new league at his age.

I don't get why no one seems interested in Nathan Redmond. Looks a good player and a £2m initial fee rising to £3.2m. Reckon Norwich have got an absolute steal.

Especially with Tom Ince being touted around £8m

Redmond and Van Wolfswinkel should be decent for Norwich, their attack was pretty stale at times last season but they should have more of a threat going forward now.

Looks like Jozy Altidore is off to Sunderland. Di Canio has signed loads of randomers so far but he's done well last couple of seasons in Holland.

Ajax have loaned Bojak Krkic for a year with an option for a second. Not many footballers out there who peaked before they were even 18.

Barcelona have wasted his talent

I won't mind him at Arsenal tbh - Barca-schooled, CL experience and a reliable scorer of goals when he first started out.

He did barely anything at Roma in 11/12 and very little at Milan last season, from what I saw. His career's only going one way.

Arsenal had a 30m bid for Suarez rejected. Am I the only one that thinks this means that Higuain transfer didn't worked?
