It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.
Extracting the file will take a while, but it shouldn't take the hours and hours that the program extracting will sometimes say it will. To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

Delete what you've got, and download the complete 2026.01 pack.

Hello,
I had installed the megapack and was only installing the updates. Last update that I installed was 2025.10. Everything was working fine. I installed the 2026.00 update. I copied the files from the Faces and icon faces folders into the installed directory and chose “replace.” After that, many faces in the game disappeared. What could be the reason, and how can I fix it?
In the Faces folder I downloaded with the 2026.00 update, the files are named like “face_xxx”, whereas all my old files were named just “xx.” Could this difference be the cause?
Should I delete everything and download complete pack 2026.01?

Yes delete what you have and download and apply the latest “complete” pack. Then all your pictures should be named “face_xxx” and everything should work.

I accidentally replaced the xml file the facepack and now the game wont read the faces. I have a really bad internet and the 13GB facepack takes a whole day to download. Can someone please attach just the .xml file here? Much appreciated.

Given no one else has reported this, I suspect it will be because you didn't install it correctly.
When you say it isn't working, are you getting a blank space or the default silhouette?

The filename format changed in December, and you're still with the old version, that'll be why. Just download everything from scratch.

Not sure if this has been answered but has anybody got the original config for the FM24 facepack? I have downloaded all facepack updates and now the config file only contains the file for the new added players with uinique IDs in the 2000's

I just downloaded the complete facepack and saved it in the correct folder. Unfortunately, I can no longer open the game. It starts to load, but then gets stuck on the loading screen. When I remove the facepack from the folder, the game opens.
Have I overlooked something, or is there a way to get the game to run with the facepack?

The same thing happened to me. I installed the latest update yesterday and some faces have disappeared. Some examples: Oblak, Militao, Renato Sanches, Moussa Diaby, Marcus Sorg, etc.
You only see the silhouette..Now I have the faces of some wonderkids and not some ordinary players.

I gave up, uninstalled the game - reinstalled it to my C: drive from my D: and then it worked. The new FM throws a hissy fit over any slight deviation so decided in the long term it will be less hassle to just do that now.

The megapack has over 535,000 images, and the filename structure is different, so you don't seem to have downloaded the latest megapack in which the filenames are face_UID.
I suggest downloading the megapack from scratch.

In game unique ID's and faces ID's that i downloaded does not matches. Is there anyway to fix it ? Currently I am playing FM 24 and i downloaded the latest Cut-Out Player Faces Facepack. Is this the issue ?

The issue is De Cat was not in fm24 original game so you've added him through some additional file. His UID in the megapack is correct, the one in the game is randomly generated.

I downloaded 26.00 on the 11th of november 26.1 update worked fine. but update 26.2 blanked out the majority of faces. Any fix?
