Hi everyone,
I regularly install the standard Cut Out Faces pack, and everything works perfectly. Now, however, I wanted to install the Wonderkids pack as well. I have two questions regarding this:
1. Where exactly do I copy it to? Under the "Graphics" folder, there are already subfolders for "iconfaces" and "faces." Should these go into a separate folder of their own? I ask because the `config.xml` file included in this pack is much smaller and shouldn't overwrite the larger `config.xml` file from the main pack.
2. What kind of graphics are these, anyway? Are they actual faces for real-life new talents?
And one more question regarding NewGens: is it still the case that 15-to-17-year-olds sometimes end up with faces that look like older adults?
Best,
Rusty

Let's have a look at each scenario together, shall we?
Replace the config.xml file
As you said, the Wonderkid config.xml “shouldn't overwrite the larger ‘config.xml’' file" (from the Cut-Out Face Pack). The standard Cut-Out config.xml file is larger as it contains more data.
The difference in file sizes is a good observation, however the bottom line is: The Wonderkid Face Pack isn't an update of the Cut-Out Face Pack. They've their own data, and don't include each other's data… well, why should they?
So, if you replace the Cut-Out config.xml file with the Wonderkid's, what will happen? You simply kill the Cut-Out Face Pack, and its pictures aren't going to show. Make sense?
Merge the config.xml files into one
If you prefer having both packs in the same folder, then you need to merge both config.xml files into a single file (sure you know it only allows one config.xml file in a folder). As you can imagine, it's going to take some time and effort to do this operation, and be very careful not to mess up anything.
Next, the question is: What happens when there's a new update for the Cut-Out Face Pack? Since you'll have a new config.xml file then, you're going to do the merging work again.
Also, in case one of the packs hits some issues and requires a complete reset (remove the current pack and download a new one), then it'd become a big headache… since you've mixed multiple packs together.
It's not a problem… if you don't mind the hassle. For reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diHN8TU_a94
>“Should these go into a separate folder of their own?”
The reasons are as above. So, it's up to you… obviously, some options may make your life easier.
Extract the Wonderkids Face Pack into a separate folder
Seems to be the easiest and most convenient way, agree?
>"Where do I install the Wonderkids cut-out faces?"
If you can set up the Cut-Out Face Pack, sure you can do it with the Wonderkids Face Pack, or any graphics add-ons.
Put it another way: If it's so strict that it needs to be in a specific folder, you'll be given a clear instruction or reminder. Don't you think? Just put it under the graphics folder, same as installing a face pack, a logo pack and a kit pack.
>“Under the "Graphics" folder, there are already subfolders for "iconfaces" and “faces.””
This is a matter of anyone's habit, and it's better to organize everything first. May have a look at others' graphics folder, which should hopefully give you some ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQa7BI7jCGg
2.
Simply check out those players' photos on the internet, and see if the images are their actual faces. By the way, why do you want to install something that you've no idea? Suppose you should have at least seen some samples of those photos first?
Well, guess it's easier to collect photos from the net than using AI to generate each of them… Moreover, what's the point to offer fictional pictures for those real wonderkids anyway?
3.
>“faces that look like older adults”
Everyone's standard is different, so just play/simulate a game and see for yourself. It only takes you 20 minutes or so.
Anyway, if you want better newgens photos, then may have a look at: https://ngregens.org/
After all, it's nothing complicated at all… imagine it's your work or study, e.g. managing your projects or messages. Just think more (that's why I asked you plenty of questions above), then take action and experiment.

fantastic, thank you!!!

hi everyone, i just download the new wonderkids facepack, where i should put these faces? cause as you know the faces and iconfaces cartel already exist
PoorJack
>“as you know the faces and iconfaces cartel already exist”
No, not necessarily… this is all about how you organize your stuff. Everyone has his habits and does things differently.
Anyway, it's nothing complicated or technical. Let's have a look at others' graphics folder… it's time to get some ideas about managing your add-ons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQa7BI7jCGg

I am having the same issue with adding his face into the game atm I have got the ID and added it to the config and nothing has changed still and I am wondering what I am doing wrong here

I've sorted mine don't delete the folder inside the folder that's what I did originally, but left it this time and it worked
ASSE25
Hello, have you managed to find a solution to the problem of the difference between the photo ID and the player's ID?
bigpole
Yes, you should download the whole megapack once again (because the file names are changed in new version).
I've downloaded the megapack once again and the new updates and everything is named face_playerID (with corrected config file as well).
ASSE25
I was talking about the Wonderkids New Players pack.

I downloaded the latest version but the Wonder Kids' faces aren't showing. Can you help me? For example, Ronaldo Jr., JJ Gabriel.
ASSE25
The entire new players pack needs to be modified; there are discrepancies between player IDs and photo IDs, it's becoming annoying.
Bielsa is a legend
everybody knows this, its the game
you can edit them yourself
ASSE25
There will be no modifications or corrections.

So, is this enough to motivate you to learn a bit? Everyone knows nothing at the beginning, and learns along the way.
At least, give it a try… or at the very least, watch the videos that I've posted above.
To show a player's face in the game is about 3 things:
It's nothing technical: Just put the image in the “graphic” folder, take note of the ID in the game, and edit the config.xml file using Notepad or any text editors.
May at least have a look at the videos first, and then decide whether you want to give up or have a try:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJFN3BwLffg

Those videos last only 6 minutes or so… very few simple steps, and easy to follow.

Yes, but it's the whole package that needs to be redone.
Jenks77
Agree with the above comment, the whole pack needs to be redone, its not worked since the last update
On a separate note I still play FM24 so not bothered
Bielsa is a legend
the game will keep recreating new IDs for some players
it will also occur between different saves
as you say, stick with FM24, a much better game all round
26 is like Dowman, overrated and unfinished
ASSE25
So there won't be any correction—that's what you need to understand.
Bielsa is a legend
Sorry don’t understand what you mean
ASSE25
que la différence entre l'identifiant du joueur et la photo ne sera pas corrigée.

Ensure that the player ID and photo offsets aren't altered by the game.

i dont write the game

Just to confirm, the situation is as follows:
Whenever FM26 receives an official update which adds new players to the official database, it offsets the ID mappings of newly-added players. There is nothing we can do to prevent this - we can only react to it.
Whenever an update is released, we need to re-process our data - and we haven’t had a chance to do it following the latest update. It’s a process that the Site Admin needs to take care of - I don’t know exactly what it requires/how involved it is; but given the time of the season, I suspect it just hasn’t been done yet because of other priorities.
As I’m sure you can imagine, FM26 receives such updates quite frequently and so this task is a recurring one. For this latest update, it is on the to-do list and will get taken care of as soon as time allows.

Appreciate the clarification
Least it saves a few of us going out of our minds that we was doing something wrong
