Mail reporting that Carver offered to step down but Steve McClaren said no, so he's being kept on, while the players had their own crisis meeting with none of the coaching staff invited.

Going through twitter to see people talking about the "race for eighth". Newcastle as a club deserve relegation and John Carver quite frankly.

Surely you can see that the lack of ambition in the 'race for eighth' is directly contributing to our problems now?

Finishing in the top ten before spending quite a bit in the summer = relegation battle.

Was quite clear Pardew wasn't up to leading this team forward and should have gone at the end of last year when we failed in the 'race for eighth'

Instead we were allowed to stagnate, didn't replace players properly and yes were unlucky with injuries and ended up in the same position in January.

Where we inexplicably sold some of our better players, didn't replace them at all and appointed the equivalent of a gorilla to our management position.

Quite surprising we're not bottom, tbh.
