PES 2013

Everyone always mentions PES 2008, it's nothing like that anymore. That was the first next-gen version of Pro Evo and was absolutely crap, no doubt. It's still far, far from perfect (as is FIFA) but it's a much better game than it was - getting back to PES6 level.

What annoyed me about PES this time, based on the demo at least was how unnecessarily complex the control scheme was.

Fifa's has the right mix between easy to pick up, but still a lot of depth to it whereas with PES I didn't enjoy the fact that I'd have to memorize and master even simple dribbling tasks. I think the animations help too, when it actually looks like a real football match as it does in Fifa I find the experience a lot more immersive.
