The future of Scottish football is here. A new system to replace the current system's typical cycle of 4 games against the same teams.

- 18 teams in the top tier of the SPFL
- 16 teams in the 2nd and 3rd tier of the SPFL
- 4th tier split with the Highland and Lowland League, 18 teams each
- 5th tier North Caledonian League and South of Scotland Football League feeding into the Highland and Lowland leagues respectively, 18 teams each
- 6th tier split into 4 leagues of 20, North and South A and B

In addition, the Scottish Cup is open to all, a similar system to the new League Cup format is in place for the 3 SPFL leagues, The Challenge Cup has moved to the 4th and 5th tier, and the Junior Cup is open to all teams from the 6th tier down.

Let me know what you think, and enjoy

EDIT 23/3/2017

- Added an extra scheduled TV spot every weekend for the Premiership and Championship
- Championship and League 1 TV appearances improved, less focus on weaker sides in the Championship
- Betfred Cup schedule fixed to avoid clashing with European weeks, the final moved to January as a result, as well as to ease fixture congestion

In addition, if you like to play with as much kits loaded as possible, I recommend the good work done by Morrissey. The link to these extra kits is here.

EDIT 29/5/2017

- Minor fixes - Draw dates

In addition, if you start a new game, it would be best to use the Scottish start dates or later. If the English dates are used, for some reason the stadium for the Scottish Cup becomes a neutral stadium instead of the national stadium. No idea why it's happening, but loading with the Scottish dates or later will fix the problem.

EDIT 14/6/2017

Last edit, I promise.

- Fixed registration problem when competing in the Premiership / Championship playoffs

Brilliant! Thanks a lot for this.

Would it be easy to reduce the number of teams in the Premiership?

Gonna give this a try. Will leave some feedback once I've completed a couple of seasons.

Halfway through my first season playing as Wick Academy in the Highland League, enjoying it very much. I take it the prize money after each league game is to keep finances level right and not an exact replica of what happens in real life?

It's possible, though it's a bit of a pain. When I tried to increase the Highland and Lowland Leagues last year from 16 to 18, even after changing everything possible in the advanced rules (league and both main cups), it seemed to hardwire the initial number I had prior to converting to them when running the tests. Had to revert to basic, put the changes in, then fiddle about with the advanced rules again to make the database perfect.

Glad you like it

Purely to even the finances a bit, not a lot of info around for a better representation.

Still playing the save? Get anywhere with Wick?

Ah I see mate, yeah I did really well with Wick, finished top of the Highland league in my first season. Just finished my second season with them, finishing 6th in the Ladbrokes League 1. Very enjoyable I have to say.

Good position there, unlucky to just miss out on that final playoff spot. Hopefully next season you can push for that promotion.
