The config file is for a face and not an icon face. It should not read portrait but icon, as per the below screenshot from the iconfaces pack config file:
The png itself is 25 pixels high and wide. It should be 25 pixels wide and 18 high.

Hi, I’ve followed every step of this thread and my individual icon face still isn’t loading in. Ive rewritten the config file to exactly what the screenshot above shows (with my players own unique id) however it sill isn’t showing up. Please could I have some help? Thank you 🙂

b) the config file
c) a screenshot of where you think it should show but isn't.

The face in your second is not an icon. The icon is what shows beside a player's name when you right-click on him.
If you want to add that image as a person's cut-out, the record should read as follows:
<record from="2002042141" to="graphics/pictures/person/2002042141/portrait"/>
i.e. ending with portrait not icon.

Greenwood is not in FM23, so for him to be in your game means he was added in an editor data file. That means his UID isn't the same as what you've put in your config file.

Is there a way to rename multiple images at once? Like 10, 20, or 50 in one go.

I'm not aware of any way, no. I imagine there may be some programs online to do so, Google is your friend 👍

This is mildly annoying. It USED to be (up to FM23) that there was an option to display the player or staff member's unique ID at the top of their information page. That seems to be gone in FM24. I usually add in a couple of custom staff members and add their photos but in lieu of the UID being displayable I just looked up their UID from the pre-game editor. But, of course… the IDs change when you start a save because, of course they do.
I got around it by going to the staff information view and creating a custom view which included the unique ID field. Et voila, I have the right ID codes again. Just in case anyone else comes across this one… don't trust the IDs in the pre-game editor.
Why on earth SI pulled the option of displaying the ID, I have no idea. Maybe they thought it wasn't needed since you can still see it through a custom view.
