Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, applying the oldest first and continuing to apply update packs in the chronological order in which they were released.
Contrary to previous versions of the game, there is no need to change any settings in the preferences in FM26.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. It might be for FM24, but the steps are exactly the same.
Otherwise, follow the steps in this comment and post the results so that we can assist you.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too π
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

An object with the name "faces" already exists at this location. Do you want to replace it with the object you are moving?
then it gives me the option to skip, stop or replace.
im scared to click on replace cause i don't want the 15gb worth of cutouts to disappear
mons
Yes, that's exactly what I've been trying to tell you. Some of the update pack will add new images and another part of the update pack will replace old faces. That's exactly why I've tried to explain, more than once, that you should accept overwrite prompts because that's a good sign you're installing it in the right place.
And remember to remove the graphics > faces folder as indicated in my above post. Leaving it there will mean it supersedes the graphics > sortitoutsi-1 folder and anything in the latter folder will be ignored by FM, which defeats the whole purpose of what we've talked about.
To clarify, you should only have ONE faces folder. In your folder structure, it should be in graphics > sortitoutsi-1.
mons
I don't know how many times I can say this. Click replace and get on with it.
If you're still not comfortable with doing so, open the faces folder from the update pack, copy its contents and paste them into the graphics > sortitoutsi-1 > faces folder, replacing files when prompted. Same for the iconfaces folder.
Update packs are not intended to be in sub-folders within your graphics folder, and you should have one faces folder, and one faces folder only.
Qvordrup
I'm not really sure I understand your problem.
Have you download the full pack at some point or only the update?
L A
okay i now did what you told me to but the faces are not loading π
L A
from the first picture on i went on reload skin and nothing changed
L A
I have downloaded the full pack previously. Up until yesterday, when I downloaded the update, the full pack was running smoothly
mons
Then, bluntly speaking, you haven't done exactly what I told you to do π
Let's have another screenshot of your graphics > sortitoutsi-1 folder, then, so perhaps we can see what needs to be fixed.
Then it's even more clearly established that you haven't installed the update pack properly π
L A
Okay lets try this again. Sorry for the inconvenience guys π
mons
Looks fine so far. Can I see a screenshot of your faces folder? Do you have a sub-folder in there? How many images in total do you have in your faces folder? You should have 279,000+
Qvordrup
That looks as it is suppose to.
Do you have any folders inside your faces and iconfaces folders?
L A
WTF. the faces and icon faces folders now contain ridiculously small amounts of data. π
so the thing you guys told me to do did what i was worried would happen
L A
faces 300 mb
mons
I don't know what to tell you but it seems clear that you misapplied the steps we outlined somehow π If you've removed the main megapack, you should be able to get it back from the Recycle Bin, I would think.
The update packs have been released for over 10 years with the exact same installation method, and have been applied successfully by thousands of people through all these years. I find it unlikely to believe that the whole process isn't working correctly only now, so it'll be something you haven't applied properly, unfortunately π’
Qvordrup
I would recommend you to delete what you have and download the full pack again.
Then you need to figure out what you have done when applying the update.
When unpacking and applying a update just unpack the faces and iconfaces folder to your sortitoutsi-1 folder and say yes to all overwrites. That means that your computer replaces the old pictures with the new ones and more importantly updates your configs. This process should not remove any files from your folders.
You don't replace the folders you merge them together π
L A
you keep saying that but I've sent the screenshots and you said there's nothing wrong so how did i mess up? π€
i appreciate your efforts but continually blaming me is odd to me.
i guess im gonna be stuck downloading the whole thing now π
L A
thank you. currently in the process of redownloading the whole pack. hopefully the process you've outlined will work when i try to download an update.
mons
Perhaps you haven't understood me. The folder structure in the latest screenshot is indeed correct, but not its contents, which is what matters.
What Qvordrup said could work for you, or you could open the faces folder from the update pack, copy its contents and paste them into the graphics > sortitoutsi-1 > faces folder, replacing files when prompted. Same for the iconfaces folder.
L A
Oh alright. Thanks mate, will try the redownload of the whole pack and will let you know whether it worked afterwards.

All working fine at my end. Perhaps you need to download and apply this file.
Ugo Ibeabuchi
Thanks mate. Downloaded and applied the real name fix file and working as it should but still no Manchester United player faces. Same thing as last year. Anything else you can suggest I do or is it just a case of another year of United being different?
mons
I'm using the real name fix and this pack and I don't have any issues, so the problem must be at your end, possibly an installation issue.
Can I have screenshots of your megapack folder and of where you've installed the licences fix?
mons
You haven't installed the pack correctly then.
Can I have screenshots of your in-game preferences and of your faces folder, in the latter case showing clearly the path it's installed in and the amount of images contained within it.
Ugo Ibeabuchi
Licences fix - this works fine for everything else - https://imgur.com/a/iVktPaC
Megapack - Ive got a screenshot showing the pathway used for the faces megapack. Hpefully this is what you were after https://imgur.com/a/WVqXp64

Why are you asking for help in the cut-out faces megapack forum when you have the Scope Facepack? Can't help you much there π
Preferences seem fine but you don't seem to have the right number of images in your megapack folder. The megapack contains 279,000+ cut-outs and the same amount of iconfaces, so the total should be in the region of 559,000 not 524,000. Looks to me like you didn't extract the full megapack.
