Yes it does. Not really sure what your screenshot is showing, but Eye candy 7 is a program that needs to be installed like any other program. It adds new filters to your photoshop. There is a 30 day trial version you can download for free.

@Qvordrup I've already got Eye Candy 7. This screenshot is what happens after I clicked Eye Candy 7, it came up with that error

A bit delayed, but after you install the filter using the exe download from their site, when you go into photoshop and click on Filter, you should see it at the very bottom. Is that what you're clicking on to get the error you posted? I ask because it almost looks like you're on the home screen of PS with no file open and are dragging the exe file into PS, which will not work. You have to run it outside of PS to install it and then open a file in PS before you can even use it.

Once you have it installed and verify it works, you should just need to install the action file posted in, I believe, the first post here. Once you have that installed (google how to add an action to PS if you don't know how), in PS, you can see actions installed by going to Window and ticking Actions

I may be wrong, but I think it may be possible to get Photoshop plug-ins in Gimp. I am currently looking into this and I will let you know if it works.

Have you tried using photopea.com instead? It's more versatile than gimp and virtually identical to Photoshop.

update for Mac and PS 2021?

I've moved your post here 👍 The process is exactly the same as it was when these guides and tutorials were done, so there isn't really any need for an update tbh.

I've used the action to create Metallic logos, specially to use concept logos in the game, since FM 2019. The thing is, now with Adobe Photoshop 2021 I get stuck doing the small logos, as it clips the image entirely instead of resizing it. Any way to help me? As I don't really want to keep CS6 installed just for this… thanks!

Well they look good 😀 . But there are something wrong with the dimensions. All normal logos have to be 180x180, and all small logos have to be 25x18 and you are missing the @2x logos that are 50x36. And there are not the same number of logos in the normal folder (97), small folder (106), back right (95), back left (93). And I have just checked one, but I'm not sure about your submission to the team with id 170: The team are called ACHE in the default database and I think the logo that are currently in the pack are correct. The logo your submitting are for a club that are called  “JS Éghezée” that I can't find in the default database. I can see in my research that the club ACHE are extinct, and that is perhaps why you think the new logo is more correct, but we want the logos in this pack to reflect the name of the club in the default database. So this logo is properly an alternative request 👍.

the logos will have the correct ID starting the winter update. The ones given are the correct ones.

concerning the size, are the including or excluding the transpartent canvas?

They are now the right size, but I think there are a bit to much transparent around the logos, making them smaller in game. If you trim the logos (after cutting them) and then make whatever side of the canvas that is shortest the same length as the longest (height or width) so the canvas is square before applying the metallic effect with the action, it will solve this and also your problem with some of the text being cut of  👍

I have no idea on how to help you 🤷‍♂️, I have cs2 installed on my pc just for doing metallic logos 😂, and I'm not kidding 😉

while you learn how to make metallic logos, I thinks If you upload the original logos to the request thread so they can be part of next update, then that would be the best cause of action 👍

can i add a folder of logos(to convert) instead of doing 1 logo at a time. i got lots of miscellanious logos but want 2 do it quicker ??.  i have photoshop and plugins 2 make them btw

In Photoshop:

File → Automate → Batch

In the newly opened window select the action set you wanna play,source folder,destination folder where the finished files will be….that's it.

i got default actions no other option is this right im new 2 doing all this which action file cannot c glass for metallic in there anywhere.  thanks.  i can batch them in other formats but not glass which is metallic i presume ???

I think you need to google “how to use action files in photoshop” or “how to add action files to photoshop”. There are a lot of tutorials videos out there on the web on how to use photoshop 👍

I think most competition logos are not in square.

Can I still follow the same method? Anything to take note?
