2020/2021 - Volna Pinsk FC - Belarus !
2019/2020 - FC Inter Turku ! Finland !
The Beginning Of The Career !
Born in Bulgaria with Portugal parents Jose Alvaro was ready to take the opportunity of being manager of a football club but all started when his dad decided to bring him in the local football team only at year of 13 and since then young Alvaro was inlove with the football game ....so the journey started !
So after a lot of courses, a lot of searching, a lot of analyzing the first chance was knocking on the door and it was actually not a low league club but the ambitious FC Inter Turku from Finland .The team was playing at the top Finnish League...and when Alvaro came to the club and accepted the contract the team was in a bad form, the players were in a bad mood and the chairman wanted only one thing from Alvaro - to save the team from relegation.
Everything you need to know about FC Inter Turku !
The team was at the 7th place currently on the bottom side of the table and with the players morale and current form that was a huge challenge in front of Alvaro as his first job.So first things first the biggest challenge was to break that bad run and to bring back the confidence in the players so the team to be able to climb little by little to the top of the table or atleast to compete in champions side of the table TOP 6 instaed of fighting for relegation in the bottom side.
It was time for Alvaro to make his official debut as manager of FC Inter Turku against KupS(the team in the 1st place ) in the league game and even that everyone was looking to the game like it was easy win for KupS against FC Inter Turku with his young manager, FC Inter Turku smashed them with 1:0 and the whole week the newspapers were talking bout Alvaro and how he changed the team. The secret actually was that the old manager was trying to play defensive football with attacking players...and tactic...but that doesn't mean that the team was climbing but just a light in the end of the tunnel because the losing streak was over, the next week FC Inter Turku managed to beat HIFK at home with 3:0 and everything was looking smooth with the new manager.
After the good start the team got bad news with injuries with players being sold and everything went down again.....till the end of the season the team managed to get only 1 draw and 3 defeats....which was actually enough for the club to meet the expectation and to finish at the top half of the table. 6th place for the club after the champions play-offs where the team didn't managed to climb for the play-offs for the european places and finished 6th in the end.Alvaro was happy with the job he done for the club in the first or should we say HALF season...the plan for the next one was to bring back players suitable for his tactic and to make a team that can fight for the league title instead fighting relegation.
Part 2 will be uploaded later - tomorrow....
PS:The things didn't go as expected as you can see from the team i selected VOLNA but you guys will see tomorrow ! Thank you for reading and i hope you will like the story and follow it !
This was the first transfer window for Jose Alvaro in his career as manager and the new players were players that are suitable for his tactic...mostly attacking players - wingers and strikers - and as for the defense part the club signed with 2 winger back's.Everything was ready for the new season and the new look of FC Inter Turku was revealed - 4-3-2-1 was the tactic and the team was going to play very very attacking football using the wings. But there was one problem that was going to destroy all the plans.
Matches
The first games were in Finnish Cup where the team started really well with 3 victories,1 draw and 1 defeat beating the current champions AGAIN in those 3 wins was also a huge improvement that showed consistency The team qualified for the 2nd stage of the Finnish Cup as 2nd team as FC Honka was 1st.Then the team played 2 friendly games before the start of the League- and thats where everything went downhill. The team was looking like ready after beating FC Astana in the friendly game and Kalju without conceding a goal but in the first game of the Finnish League the team lost. The 2nd game against Ilves and that 4:4 was crucial for the team after being ahead with 3:1 and getting only a draw was bad for the players confidence. That was the first time Jose Alvaro facing problems not only on the pitch but in the changing rooms with the players too.The players weren't happy with the situation and that continued in the next games too - the team got 1 draw from 5 games losing the other 4 and like there is no problems the team got eliminated from the Finnish Cup - the same cup that FC Inter Turku played so well to reach that stage - the team didn't managed to beat MYPA and lost on penalties. The last defeat was the last nail in the coffin for Jose Alvaro.
Getting Fired For The First Time !
The board requested a meeting with Jose Alvaro for the situation the club was in ....and even that Jose Alvaro wanted more time for the team to get familiar with the changes he knew that wasn't true and the better choice was to resign the young manager and the club chairman decided to part ways and that was the end for Jose Alvaro in FC Inter Turku-after saving the club in his HALF season and showing that the team can play attacking football was his only WINS in that club but in the end that was just the beginning of his career !
Part 3 will be uploaded tomorrow - New Team,New Challenges !
After being fired from FC Inter Turku, Jose Alvaro was once again unemployed but the things he showed at FC Inter Turku weren't a coincidence ...that guy had a plan and after a lot of months looking for a new job the young Jose Alvaro was approached by the Second Division club of Volna Pinsk from Belarus.
The negotiations were long but in the end Jose Alvaro was ready to come back to the thing he loves more than anything - coming back to football !
The Club !
Objectives
FC Volna Pinsk is a Belarusian football club based in Pinsk, Brest Oblast. The club plays in the Belarusian First League.
The club was established in 1987 as Kommunalnik Pinsk. The club spent all its seasons after 1992 at the 2nd of 3rd level of Belarusian football. They came close to promotion to the top level several times in the 1990s, finishing in the top three of the Belarusian First League on four occasions, and losing in the promotion/relegation play-offs in fall 1995 to Shinnik Bobruisk.
In 1996–2006, it was known as FC Pinsk-900. In 2006, the club changed its name to Volna Pinsk as the previously existed Pinsk army club that existed after the World War II.
That was the new tactic from Jose Alvaro, he decided to try something new with more control in the half of the pitch to retain the ball and control the game with the risk of counter attacks with only 3 defenders but 5 midfielders. As we know his favourite 4-2-3-1 wasn't going to cut it in Volna so that was something new for him and for the players too.
First Official Games And End Of The Season!
Jose Alvaro took over a bit late near the end of the season and his goal given from the chairman was to retain the place in the top half of the table and to compete for the play-offs.From 11 games Jose Alvaro managed to win 6 games, got 4 draws and lost once but this defeat was an important one.
As you can see in the table FC Volna finished 7th(at the top half of the table) and the team had a chance for the play-offs if it wasn't for the defeat in the last round of the league that left the team with 44 points.Chairman was pleased with the progress of the team and the motivation that Alvaro had over the players and the most important thing was that the players were playing with confidence under him.
The goal for the next season was set not from the chairman not from the players but from Jose Alvaro-The team was going to challenge a direct promotion to the Premier League of Belarus or at least a place in the play-offs.
One Of The Best Games Of The Season !
Part 4 coming soon ! Volna Pinsk adventure continues ..... !
