Question About the Editor

I have been using the FM Editor (not the in-game...the other one) for years now. Last year, with FM20, I used the Editor to create a number of leagues in countries not covered by the game, added a number of lower leagues to existing countries, added in cities, and placed diacritical marks on Slavic and Baltic players, cities, and teams. I would like to transfer all of these to the FM21 version of the game without having to redo everything in the Editor. Is there a way in which it would be possible to move all the data that I saved from FM20 Editor into the new game? Thank you very much....

All you should need to do is to load each file in the FM21 editor. It may be the case that you need to do this step too - make sure you backup your files before just to be safe in case you mess it up!

Otherwise, files carry on perfectly well from FM20 to FM21. When it comes to competition changes, there may be some changes necessary to cater for any differences which may come up, but purely data files should not have any issues whatsoever.

there are some known issues with transferring files, some are resolved using the fix as Mons points out...others dont work I have several files going back years none of which are working with the fix so have a go and see what happens.
