Funny you should mention that about Airdrie being relegated... (I'll explain that comment later)

OK, I'll explain that comment.

After playing through my first season as Airdrie and doing so well. I resigned straight away and instantly put the game into holiday mode and set to 'Apply for any jobs' and 'Return from holiday when offered a job' WITHOUT saving it. Thinking that it woud be on holiday for only a couple of in-game months AT MOST.

Wrong.

3 SEASONS passed and I wasn't offered a single job. And the worst part is, I hadn't saved it. So my options were to continue the game another 3 years in OR start a new one. Neither of which were very appealing tbh.

So I figured that I could load up a new game with the same manager details & start as Airdrie again and just Holiday through the first season then resign and continue from there. So I tried this 3 times and EVERY TIME Airdrie got relegated .

So I kept the third save and figured I'd just resign and continue on my story as if I'd just gone from Airdrie to Hamilton in my original save. So I thought it only fair to reset my 'Fergie points' and just continue on for my 4 seasons at Hamilton.

What do you guys think?? Honest feedback is appreciated!

I'm having this problem too mate. Since I have completed the first season (I may update later) but I can't seem to be able to get a job ffs and if I do, they're not Scottish ffs. I'm actually tempted to restart my challenge with a bigger first division club instead of Raith and just sign a new deal so they can't sack me.

Personally I would start a new save, I've been thinking of doing the same as stated.

Yeah I would start over, seems a shame though after you did well at Airdrie.

Thankfully I've not had a problem with offer after getting the Ross County and Rangers jobs, however I was still employed when I applied for those jobs, I only stepped down from my first club Dumbarton after handing in my application to County and I left Ross for Rangers whilst still under contract, which is perhaps the difference?

It's so annoying mate as I thought that with an already National rep and a good season improving a poor team under my belt I'd get another job no bother!

Thing is I did apply for the Hamilton and St Johnstone (newly relegated) jobs before I resigned in my original save, thinking that they would offer me a job. But Hamilton went with Gary Megson and Dundee went with Pat Bonner FFS!

It's just so irritating cause I'll need to start from scratch again! Argh!

If I do it won't be as Airdrie. Couldn't handle another first season as them to be honest! Haha.

Decided to start a new one. I was thinking Dunfermline but I'd rather start as a poorer team with a low predictged league finish. Although in-fairness I can't remember what Dunfermline's is at the start of the game, lol.

they have the worst financial situation going so that is actually quite a big challenge as little room to play in transfer market etc

Yeah I see where your coming from mate but my first club is only going to be for the first season. I'd like to have more time to spend at a club like Dunfermline so maybe as my second club if the opportunity arises as I'd be spending 4 seasons there. That way I'd have a good run at building them up.

Grateful for the input and opinion though matey, thanks!
