I'm trying to create a database with a worldwide salary cap similar to what is used in the NHL and the NBA. This to even things out and get rid of the super rich clubs that dominates the transfer market.

I've managed to change the salary cap in England using the pre-game editor, but I cannot add advanced rules for another country while editing in that particular database. So I assume I'll have to do this by having multiple editor data when starting a new save?

Another thing is the existing salaries. When changing the annual salary cap, is it possible to automatically adjust the existing salaries to fit under the cap? Right now, teams are transfer listing half their squads in order to fit under the cap, and players are refusing to sign new contracts due to financial restrictions.

Thanks!

This is something myself and others tried over a few versions to break the boring monopoly that the game/real life football has become and highlighted there is what I want to see happen in game

however found on various tests clubs bypassed the rules and kept overspending and breaking the wage rule with impunity[again game mirroring real life perhaps lol]

can you please show what settings you have used as this was bugged so sounding like SI have finally addressed it👍

1.regards advanced nation rules its one set per country I'm afraid you cant set a ‘universal’ one for all/certain countries

2.regards getting players wage to be under cap try mass editing their wages to £0 in pre game editor, the game should then auto generate amounts under the cap when starting a new save

I seem to remember several years ago someone was able to have a universal transfer window, IIRC it was via an edt file but I have been unable to get this to work,

so in theory if that was possible there may be the chance to set up a universal wage cap but it would not be in the editor its knowing what exact code to use and the parameters to set bit like the regen file I created that took over 2 years of trial and error

@jockehamberg89  any update on this

I will be able to try this myself sometime next week, wondering if you have any update as above and if you can see any clubs getting punished for failing the salary cap because as I see it in the editor the FFP punishments are for increasing the current wage expenditure not failing to meet the salary cap

are you seeing clubs sell players to address the cap?

cheers
