Didn't think Rooney would work in a two man midfield but he played well, would like to see him get a few games there see how he does.

How drunk do you have to be?

There's a second photo where that guy is being arrested... that first photo is quite impressive though.

Urgh. Newcastle fans are all pathetic. 'Commitment', 'passion' etc. Leave on 80 minutes.

Shame both teams couldn't lose. Sunderland fans were worse wishing death on Steven Taylor again. And there was a smoke cannister thrown which could have done some serious damage if it someone. Someone should go to jail for that.

Throwing a smoke canister means they should go to jail? What a joke.

Throwing something from a great height into a crowded area is dangerous. You moron.

Sorry but I'm a hardcore Toon fan and if you're having a go at the smokebombs then that's a massive hypocriticism seeing as we've been doing smoke bombs ourselves since the start of the new year.

Fact is, we were crap today. The mackems deserved it and as much as I hate it, fair play to them. Prior to today we'd lost once in just over thirteen years, so for it to happen again is eventually expectant.

Bottom line is they deserved it and our fans were horrible. Not all of them, not most of them. But those fans that are getting reverred for punching a horse should really be vindicated. We aren't like that. We went to Greece, France, Belgium (with a MASSIVE following), Portugal twice, Ukraine and Russia with an immaculate record and then some idiots do what they did today. Nah. We lost fair and square (the offside goal flattered us) and we should deal with it, like they've had to for all those years.

Didn't you say Hazard should go to jail for kicking a ball?

Sending someone to jail for something like that is the the moronic act. If it was a brick then maybe.

Someone threw a smoke cannister from a good 100-200ft into the family enclosure. Could have easily hit a child in the head.

Arguably worse than kicking a child in the chest? No?

Worth a jail sentence for? Jail should be a last resort

No Newcastle fans as used a smokebomb as a weapon.

And yes Newcastle fans have used smoke bombs, they deserve to be banned. And I'm not a fan of them anyway, I find them really fucking annoying.

And what do you think the punishment should be? For throwing the smoke canister, bottles and the Millwall fans who were fighting at Wembley?

Stop deflecting. The stance in question was why you think someone should go to jail for something minor.

I do however agree with you about fans throwing smoke canisters and such being banned

I never thought I'd use the phrase "a drunk trying to fight a horse showed more commitment to the cause than the players" but there we are... not condoning him or the other idiots, but it is the (slightly weird) truth.

Deflecting what?

I reckon that the offender should be sent to jail, because throwing a smoke canister hard from 100 feet up could have really done some damage. No different from punching someone in the street.

(I'm presuming smoke canisters are made of a hard material, so it would really hurt getting hit by one.)

I thought smoke canisters were made of metal?

I remember when the Toon played Man City in December some City fans lobbed one into the home end below them: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/police-to-take-no-action-after-699144
Though as you can probably tell, no action taken. Maybe if a fan gets knocked out if they're hit on the head with one of them, it would lead to a greater argument. It shows how much I know as I thought they were amongst the sizable banned items lists each ground has.

You haven't lived until you've seen a grown man drop kick a police horse.

Also, JCash3000 is the ultimate faggot.

The fan fighting the horse thing reminds me of the time when I went to the Birmingham Vs. Aston Villa match once, it was the first meeting of the two since Brum got back into the Premiership (the first time) and there was a big pre-arranged riot outside. I saw some scummy Birmingham fan smash a glass Budweiser bottle over a police dogs head.

Who's everyone tipping for relegation then?

QPR and Reading are gone, obviously. I'm hoping Aston Villa can pull themselves clear and I want to see Di Canio and Sunderland in the Premier League next year, so I'm hoping Stoke or Norwich go down. I'd probably put money on Wigan going down if I had to but it'll be dead close.

I say Stoke, van Wolfswinkel's far too good to be playing in the Championship.

I've got confidence in Houghton anyway.
