Do you stick with the same tactic save after save or do you change it up?!

I must admit I'm guilty at the first one and it just never works but I'm shit at tactics making, great at training and stuff just can't do anything tactic wise.

How do you make your tactic? I can get formation fine but I think I mix things up with roles and instructions too much, ive had 2 good tactics, both of which came right at the start but on 15.3 update, I can't hack it.

Throughout my time playing FM and CM I've always found one winning tactic and stuck to it, I only change when I'm bored of it. My primary tactic is a 433 featuring a poacher and two inside forwards, if I get bored of the 433 I switch to a 343 or a 352. FM14 was the first FM where I struggled to get into things tactically, took me a while, but on FM15 I created my first 433 and I've stuck with it ever since (across probably seventy seasons over 3 different save games). Its given me success everywhere I've gone.

I've never believed in all this home and away tactics shite, I've always done just fine playing one tactic all the time. All tactics in FM boils down to is experience of what does and doesn't work, common sense and having a poacher with good pace.

I just haven't managed it at all this year, lower leagues it always seems easiest going basic 442 with just direct passing and then just get a fast bloke or two up top but not for me, it never fucking works!

I've tried everything in all honesty and I'm not sure if me just picking a formation then putting the roles that the best players in your team have but I guess it's not right. I do try fit the tactic to the players I've got, at my Palermo side there's just fucking tonnes of DM's and CM's, next to no wingers and enough full backs to make a starting 11 alone.

3 or 5 at back formations have never worked for me this year either, i think it's 4132 the setup now but I think I'm gonna change it up for a 4411 or something

In a 433 for me its just the really basic fundamentals

GK; good reflexes and handlings

FBs; good tackling, work rate + physical stats

CBs; good in the air, tackling + positioning

DMC; good tackling, work rate + positioning

MCs; good mental and passing stats

Wingers; good pace and dribbling

STs; good pace, finishing and composure

Doesn't matter what level I am at they are the basics I look for, if a player doesn't qualify for those criteria then generally I'm not interested in him unless he's got the potential to be a superstar or signing him comes with minimal output (fee + wages)

I understand all of the above, perhaps it's just my instructions being wrongly set up and or contradicting the style / structure
