Issues with edited Kits and in-Game editor

Hey Folks,
So am having an issue that I have no clue how to address. I have a very lengthy managerial career going and long story short I was going to the in-game editor to change kit colors/styles etc. I have since, learned how to make both the kits that go in the preview screens as well as actual match engine 3D kits. After much back and forth and moving of files I managed to get the away and third kits to show up in the overview team screen (i have not had a chance to see if the 3D kits I made for those will show up in game yet) but the home kit is sticking with the lame in-game edited one. In addition when I played a game the fans were wearing the 3D kit I made but my players were wearing the plain one from the in game editor....I made sure to select to allow Licensed kits etc, but I am confused as to why the fans are wearing my 3D edited kit but not the players.....Any help from you guys would be appreciated. and I am sorry for the long post
