@Krebstar, when an image is so large in size, you need to crop it to an area around the face before putting it through remove.bg.

The maximum area which remove.bg will output is 500x500 (or equivalent), which will mean that an image like this will be downsized considerably, and the quality of the image will be lessened. This also means that to get a face in 250x250, you will need to upscale the image once you crop it, which means it will lose even more quality.

All this is resolved by cropping the image before putting it through remove.bg, as outlined in the video tutorials I linked you to earlier.

@mons I watched the video and I understand image resolution—for hair like that, I'd rather use Photoshop itself than removebg.com. I'll be more precise in changing resolutions in the future.

For hair as difficult as this, remove.bg will remove the background much better, much more quickly and much more easily than whatever method you utilize within Photoshop. We're extremely finicky on wanting to ensure cut quality and we wouldn't push the use of remove.bg if it didn't achieve this. There is hardly any reason whatsoever not to use it, frankly, since it saves time and effort, and ensures quality, what's not to like?

Trust me, I know what I'm saying 😉 All I did for this image was crop it, put it through remove.bg, rotate it a couple of degrees and upload it. 2 minutes maximum for what is a cut with great hair details.
