From your request I deduce that the problem has not been solved with the new jerseys.
the "in-game editor" must be purchased separately, I think it costs 5 or 6 € on steam, if it is present, a circle appears in the game (usually at the top right) by clicking on it you can change some things, including the "information or instructions" on the uniforms.
in the images I have put you an example of FM20 of how it looks .. the important thing for the kits that we download to work is that there is the number 0 in all the strips (Socks - icon - shirt - shorts - text)

in this case we find the "0" but we have in addition the specific order that in the champions league the shirt has slightly different colors. This small but significant change makes the game no longer recognize your kit that you have in the folder, but goes to generate the complete default classic of the game.
Now .. I don't have FM22 so for you the advice is to check the pre-game editor to see if there are any "errors" of this type, or check with the in-game editor, if you have it , if for Athletic Bilbao you find this type of information that makes it so that the 3d kit is not seen in-game.

I checked it with the in-game editor and the “0” is present. Guess I'll check the pre-game editor. But thanks for the help.

to use the images you add, you must make sure that they have the same name as those in the folder, so my advice is, first make a backup copy of the kits in the folder, then to avoid making a mistake, copy the name of the image file and rename the two new images you want to replace (bilbao1 - bilbao2)
then, open the game, clear the cache, reload the skin and see one of the Atletico bilbao matches, if these kits work well, if these don't work either then you can solve the problem with the in-game editor.

To all those who have problems with the Atletico Bilbao kits, try to use these two shirts instead of chris's.
In any case I think the problem could be that in the editor there are two or more versions of the bilbao shirt, and that the game does not "recognize" the shirt you have in your folder.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but what exactly should I be seeing in-game to see if it works? All I see is clubs with random white or blue shirts and a third one they never use.
