Even if I bothered to make wireframes on how to improves the designs, from your response it sounds like it would fall on deaf ears. Want me to list out the duplicated menu options across the left nav bar, the top bar, the content feed on the right panel cluttered with listing wonderkids that I would NOT want to see? I got a downloads button on the left, downloads button on the top with a hover panel to go to FM Downloads Hub, the latest downloads, individual downloads and 30 other links. I have a Downloads section on the right, downloads links to forums, download links to downloads.

 

Because based on facts this new version of the site  is a HUGE improvement on all sorts of parameters. Perhaps you are just the kind of person who really don't like any sort of changes and would like things to stay just the way the are. So we really don't appreciate this kind of unspecific complaining, the new version is here to stay.

I'm a developer myself, and former web developer, so I know how defensive people can get when their layouts are critiqued but my opinion is it's a cluttered mess, and there is no such thing as facts in design but you probably wouldn't know that because you're the type of person who can't take criticism.

 

So get off your high horse. If you want to take sortitoutsi to the next level, then simply organize your downloads in a versioned repository, make an installer that the user then selects what they want, the current versions of each or a specific version, click a button and it downloads and installs it for them. This can be easily made in C++/python. If you don't have someone that knows C++/python then can use something like Electron which you can also make a windows/mac installer using javascript / node.

 

Or don't and continue trying to belittle someone who actually gave feedback in a feedback section of a forum and pretend like what you have is some sort of great polished accomplishment.

 

I literally came here just to buy FM21 and download a couple megapacks, but I guess I'll move to a different site for these things now if this is how this community has devolved.

I would disagree. Looks cluttered to me, links down the left, down the right, links to download sections, to forum threads. Not to mention this section on the right has a list of wonderkids that I would much prefer to NOT see, I like finding wonderkids myself.

I've been using sortitoutsi for so long and now for fm21 I return and everything is so difficult to find, cluttered everywhere.

 

I always thought one day the FM community would work together to create a megapack installer where you just choose which of what you want and it automatically downoads/installs them. Instead it's gotten worst and worst over the years to just a collection of random free download links full of ads and fake download buttons. Sortitoutsi was the one place I used to be able to just pay a sub and get all my downloads without messing with that.
