Yeah, FM24 will definitely need to be updated with the current state of FM26 (beta) into the foreseeable future. Personally, I don't see myself getting acclimated with FM26's UI no matter the amount of updates throughout the cycle. But this isn't an FM26 review thread, I just want to say thank you very much for the team's continual efforts!

 

One question, did SI hardcode the game's dates? As in, is it not possible to start a save in August 1970 or August 2025? Thank you.

I appreciate the quandary, but it's not worth spending time on this source since the resulting cut won't be an improvement, needed as it may be.

Have you looked at the tips in this thread. It could be that a bigger, better different source is available elsewhere online or that a bigger version of this same source can be found


Thanks, but I'm not that invested. I only ran into Marcus through scouting, don't care for much.

You're correct. I wish there was a better source available online. The current Marcus cut is outdated.

Very possibly, but if there's a recent cut for a person, there is little purpose to have another source for him pending

In the meantime, your source has been cut separately here too anyway


I was referencing to that one lol I feel like that source may not have been as good as mine, but I'll use it anyways! Thanks for your daily work for the site Mons.

The iconfaces folder is fine, but the faces folder is lacking over 200,000 images. No wonder it isn't working

How large is the file you have downloaded? If it's 13.89GB, then extract it again. If it isn't, then you need to re-download it all.

Windows has a small bar at the bottom listing how many files are in a folder. It's not the same on a Mac.

The reason I asked is that I thought you may not have downloaded the full megapack, which should contain 244,000+ images and a file named config.xml, which is the file which tells the game what image to assign to which player. As it's absent, the game cannot know which images to display...

Can you check how many images in total you have? My advice will depend on the answer


'Faces' has a total of 1.79 GB for 29,170 items and 'facesicon' has 338.6 MB for 244,265 items. They do not add up to a total of 14.91 GB. By the way, thank you so much Mons for helping me right now! Should I extract the downloaded file again? What is your advice?

They're PNG, is that what you mean? And, I don't think I have a file names config.xml in there. That's strange though.
