Just remember that most of the files deleted and created by this download will now have been deleted after having completed this process, so you'll have to re-install this download to get the full benefit of it.

Alright, I've installed the files post-validation and no problems so far, hopefully it doesn't happen again

If that is the case, then the game should load normally. Can you try to verify the game files using the steps outlined in the link provided?

Says "130 files failed to validate and will be reacquired", I'm suspecting this is the problem

Edit: after validating, the old files are back

Do you have the same folder structures for 2001, 2010, 2030 and 2040 as you do for 2000? And where have you placed the editor data files?

If you want to verify game files, follow the steps outlined in this link.

Yes, all folder structures are the same + editor data files installed in the correct folder (C:\Users\...\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\editor data).

I don't know what you've done and how you've managed it, but it looks like you've messed up the installation process.

Can you follow the installation instructions step-by-step, paying particular attention to the specific folders in which the fixes are to be installed and try again? If you're still having issues, please post screenshot of the folders in which you've installed the fix

Yeah, I've followed the instructions in this post to the letter, and here are screenshots of folder structure: https://imgur.com/a/vC3bvOg
Does steam have some function to verify game files before starting or something?

After I install this, steam shows that I need to install football manager, even though I've already installed it in the past. After I install it, all the changes are reverted. Any fixes for this?
